In the 2019 General Elections, she initially lost her seat for representing Ekiti South to the APC candidate Prince Adedayo Clement Adeyeye [8] [9] However, the State Assembly Election Tribunal and the Appeal Court later declared her winner of the Ekiti South Senatorial District. Consequently, she was sworn into the Nigerian Senat e by the Senate President on 14 November 2019. In 2020, Olujimi was involved in a verbal war with the former Governor of Ekiti state Ayodele Fayose, where she accused him of manipulating the electoral process at the Ekiti state PDP ward congress. [10]

On 22 March 2021 senator Abiodun Olujimi narrated how she escaped being shot at during the violence that erupted at the House of Assembly bye-election for Ekiti East Constituency 1. The bye-election was to fill in the vacant position of Juwa Adegbuyi, a representative of the constituency who died [11] in February. [12]

Richard Olufemi Bamisile is a Nigerian politician and current member of the Federal House of Representatives for Ekiti South II Constituency. He is also a former Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly. He was among the candidates for the All Progressive Congress (APC) at the Ekiti State gubernatorial election primaries in 2019.

The election for Governor of Ogun State took place on 9 March. The election was held concurrently with various state-level elections. All Progressive Congress candidate Dapo Abiodun, who is a former senatorial aspirant and chairman of CAC, defeated Allied Peoples Movement candidate Adekunle Akinlade, African Democratic Congress candidate Gboyega Nasir Isiaka, Peoples Democratic Party candidate Buruji Kashamu and Action Democratic Party candidate Dimeji Bankole.

Before the elections, the All Progressives Congress held both offices with Ekiti Governor Kayode Fayemi being term-limited after serving his second nonconsecutive term and Osun Governor Gboyega Oyetola running for a second term with his party's nomination. In the post-elections situation, the APC held Ekiti with a victory for former Secretary to the State Government Abiodun Oyebanji but lost Osun as Oyetola was defeated by former Senator Ademola Adeleke—the nominee of the Peoples Democratic Party.

The 2022 Ekiti State gubernatorial election took place on 18 June 2022, to elect the Governor of Ekiti State. Incumbent APC governor Kayode Fayemi was term-limited and could not seek a third term. Former Secretary to the State Government Abiodun Oyebanji held the office for the APC by a 30% margin over first runner-up and SDP nominee—former Governor Olusegun Oni.

The 2019 Nigerian Senate election in Ekiti State held on February 23, 2019, to elect members of the Nigerian Senate to represent Ekiti State. Michael Opeyemi Bamidele representing Ekiti Central, Adetumbi Olubunmi representing Ekiti North and Adebayo Clement Adeyeye representing Ekiti South all won on the platform of All Progressives Congress; however, Adeyeye's win was later overturned, and the seat awarded to PDP incumbent Abiodun Olujimi.

The 2015 Nigerian Senate election in Ekiti State was held on March 28, 2015, to elect members of the Nigerian Senate to represent Ekiti State. Fatimat Olufunke Raji-Rasaki representing Ekiti Central, Duro Faseyi representing Ekiti North and Abiodun Olujimi representing Ekiti South all won on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party.

The 2019 Ekiti State House of Assembly election was held on March 9, 2019, to elect members of the Ekiti State House of Assembly in Nigeria. All the 26 seats were up for election in the Ekiti State House of Assembly.

Elections were held throughout Nigeria throughout 2022. During the year, the governors of Ekiti and Osun states were elected on 18 June and 16 July, respectively. Additionally, there were also elections to fill vacant seats in the House of Representatives and state houses of assembly along with local elections in Adamawa State, Benue State, Edo State, Enugu State, the Federal Capital Territory, Imo State, Katsina State, and Kebbi State.

Yemi Adaramodu is a Nigerian politician who is the senator representing Ekiti South senatorial district in the 10th Senate on the ticket of the ruling All Progressives Congress. He was chief of staff to the governor of Ekiti State and was later elected to the Federal House of Representatives.
