Yes Sir Boss! is an English, Bristol-based ska punk band, founded in 2007 at Falmouth University. [1] The band were signed under Stone'd Records and released an EP with the label, Desperation State, before self-releasing King in a Rocking Chair in 2014.
The band was founded by Matt Sellors, Luke potter, Tom First, Jehan Abdel-Malak, and Josh Stopford in 2007 while they were studying for their degrees. Their music has been described as reggae with teeth, energetic, and upbeat. [2] [3] An opening show featuring Joss Stone was cancelled in 2007 after discovery of back ticket sales. [4]
In 2012, Yes Sir Boss signed with Stone'd Records, an independent record label founded by Grammy winning soul singer Joss Stone and, later that year, released their first label titled Desperation State. [5] FMV Magazine gave the album 3 stars citing confidence and flair while criticising the album for being formulaic at times. [6] Helen Earnshaw of Female First gave the album a 4 out of 5 rating in a review that describes the music as a successful blend of Balkan Blues and indie rock. [7]
In 2013, the band released a collaborated single featuring Stone titled Mrs #1. [8] [9]
Yes Sir Boss toured music festivals in Europe and is scheduled to tour Germany, Netherlands, France, Austria, Switzerland and Scandinavia. A second album was released in April 2014 titled King in a Rocking Chair. [10]
Yes Sir Boss made a television appearance in 2013 on critically acclaimed live magazine entertainment show T.B.A. hosted by Chris Lloyd and Caroline De Moraes. To an entranced studio audience reception, the band performed their hit singles Not Guilty and Till You Get Yours from the seminal album Desperation State.

Asia are an English rock supergroup formed in London in 1981. The most commercially successful lineup was its original, which consisted of four members of different progressive rock bands who had enjoyed great success in the 1970s: lead vocalist and bassist John Wetton, guitarist Steve Howe (Yes), keyboardist Geoff Downes and drummer Carl Palmer. Their self-titled debut album released in 1982, remains their best-selling album and went to number one in several countries. Billboard listed it as the top album in the U.S. in 1982. The lead single from the album, "Heat of the Moment", remains their top charting and best-known song, reaching the top 40 in over a dozen markets. King's X is an American rock band formed in Springfield, Missouri in 1979. They were first called the Edge and later became Sneak Preview before settling on their current name in 1985. The band's current lineup has remained intact for more than four decades, consisting of vocalist and bassist Doug Pinnick, drummer Jerry Gaskill and guitarist Ty Tabor. Their music combines progressive metal, funk and soul with vocal arrangements influenced by gospel, blues, and British Invasion rock groups. Despite a largely underground reputation as the "musician's musicians", King's X was pivotal in the early development of progressive metal, and produced a series of early records considered essential within the genre. Joscelyn Eve Stoker, known professionally as Joss Stone, is an English singer, songwriter and actress. She rose to prominence in late 2003 with her multi-platinum debut album, The Soul Sessions, which made the 2004 Mercury Prize shortlist. Yankee Hotel Foxtrot is the fourth studio album by the American rock band Wilco, released on April 23, 2002. Recording sessions for the album began in late 2000. These sessions, which were documented for the film I Am Trying to Break Your Heart, were marred by conflicts including a switch in drummers and disagreements among the band members and engineers about songs. Despite this, the album would be mostly completed in early 2001. The album showcased a more atmospheric and experimental sound than the band's previous work, and has been described as art rock and indie rock by music critics. David Allan Stewart is an English musician, songwriter and record producer, best known for Eurythmics, his successful professional partnership with Annie Lennox. Sometimes credited as David A. Stewart, he won Best British Producer at the 1986, 1987 and 1990 Brit Awards. Stone Sour was an American rock band formed in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1992. The band performed for five years before disbanding in 1997. LP1 is the fifth studio album by English singer and songwriter Joss Stone. It was released on 21 July 2011 on Stone's own label, Stone'd Records, in partnership with Surfdog Records, following her departure from EMI in 2010. The album was recorded at Blackbird Studios in Nashville, Tennessee, in six days. Stone co-wrote and co-produced the album with record producer and Eurythmics co-founder, Dave Stewart.

Stone has stated that the label is to be "a safe haven where great artists are free to do what they do best, create real music without compromise." Water for Your Soul is the seventh studio album by English singer and songwriter Joss Stone, released on 31 July 2015 through her own label, Stone'd Records. It marks her first studio album of original material since LP1 (2011), following the release of the covers album The Soul Sessions Vol. 2 (2012). Musically, it incorporates reggae and hip hop with influences from many different genres, including soul, R&B, world, gospel, Latin and some Indian and Irish influence. The art design was crafted by Irish designer Aoife Hastings, who won a competition launched by Stone through social media which gave fans the opportunity to create her new album cover art. This exposure propelled Aoife's career forward, enabling her to work on renowned brands such as Coca-Cola, Heineken, Diageo, Mondelēz and Pepsi, among many others.
