Ramdev Indian Yoga Guru

Swami Ramdev, also known as Baba Ramdev, is an Indian yoga guru known for his work in ayurveda, business, and agriculture. Ramdev has been holding large yoga camps since 2002 and broadcasting his yoga classes for TV audiences. He co-founded the Patanjali Ayurved Ltd. with his colleague Balkrishna.

Maharishi Shiv Brat Lal

Shiv Brat Lal Varman, popularly known by the honorifics "Data Dayal" (Merciful) and "Maharishi", was born in Bhadohi district of Uttar Pradesh state in India in 1860. He was a post graduate and a famous writer. It is believed that he wrote as many as 3,000 books on various social, historical, religious and spiritual topics. Being a famous writer he was called as the modern Maharishi Ved Vyas and hence became famous with the name Maharishi ji.

Patanjali Yogpeeth

Patanjali Yogpeeth in Haridwar, Uttarakhand, is one of the largest yoga institutes in India, possibly the whole world. Named after the Rishi Patanjali, the institute is Ramdev's flagship project. Its purpose is to practise and research and develop yoga and ayurveda, as well as manufacture ayurvedic medicines. It is also the home of the University of Patanjali. Acharya Balkrishna is the General Secretary of Patanjali Yogpeeth. Ramdev is the Vice-Chancellor of the Patanjali Yogapeeth.

Type B ship

The Type B ship is a United States Maritime Administration (MARAD) designation for World War II barges. Barges are very low cost to build, operate and move. Barges were needed to move large bulky cargo. A tug boat, some classed as Type V ships, could move a barge, then depart and move on to the next task. That meant the barge did not have to be rushed to be unloaded or loaded. Toward the end of World War 2, some ships that had not been completed in time for the war were converted to barges. US Navy barges are given the prefix: YWN or YW. Due to shortage of steel during World War II, Concrete Ship Constructors were given contracts to build concrete barges with the prefix YO, YOG, YOGN. Built in 1944 and 1945, some were named after elements,.

Dheeraj Saraswat is an Indian chartered accountant. He has written a Yog Geet which was adopted by Government of India in 2016 which will be played in every Yoga event organised by Government of India and also in every International Day of Yoga Celebration. It was launched by Minister of Ayush, government of India on 17 June 2016 through a press conference.

The organization also supports health care for the underprivileged and education for rural youth.

USS YOG-42 was a gasoline barge built by Concrete Ship Constructors, in National City, California. She was launched on March 23, 1943. Acquired by the United States Navy on May 23, 1943. She was assigned to the Asiatic-Pacific Theater, and survived the war. Re-designated YOGN-42 in May 1946, she was struck from the Naval Register on August 15, 1949. Sometime the next year, she was intentionally beached on the north coast of Lanai, Hawaiian Islands.
