Yolk of the Golden Egg is the second full-length album by Canadian post-industrial band Dandi Wind. [1] [2] All songs were written and produced by Szam Findlay, with Dandilion Wind Opaine providing vocals.
CITR-FM described the album as "violent in spirit" and "not always accessible", yet still a "worthwhile...sonic journey that challenges every spectrum of electronica." [3] Exclaim! wrote that the album was "the electro equivalent of a machinegun blowing the locks off of cheerier electro duos", claiming that Opaine's vocals are "the most aggressive of the instruments." [4]

Broken Social Scene is a Canadian indie rock band, a musical collective including as few as six and as many as nineteen members, formed by Kevin Drew and Brendan Canning in 1999. Alongside Drew and Canning, the other core members of the band are Justin Peroff (drums), Andrew Whiteman (guitar) and Charles Spearin (guitar).

Fan Death was a synthpop band formed in Brooklyn, New York City, in 2007 as a collaboration between producer Szam Findlay with vocalists Dandilion Wind Opaine and Marta Jaciubek-McKeever. Findlay then moved to Vancouver, British Columbia, where the lineup changed to Findlay and sisters Kasia Elizabeth and Tessa Marie as vocalists. The band is named after the South Korean notion that suggests that sleeping in an enclosed room with an electric fan running can cause asphyxiation.
Dandi Wind was a post-industrial band created in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada in 2003. The band consisted of duo Dandilion Wind Opaine and Szam Findlay. Opaine went on to form the disco band Fan Death. "Dandi Wind" released two albums, 2006's Concrete Igloo and 2008's Yolk of the Golden Egg in addition to several EPs and singles, and featured in a variety of magazines and media outlets, including Supersweet Magazine, NME, Dazed & Confused, Exclaim!, Nightlife Magazine, The Nerve, Discorder Magazine, The Georgia Straight, and Trash Menagerie.

"Crimewave" is a song performed by Canadian experimental band Crystal Castles and American noise rock band Health from Crystal Castles' self-titled debut album. The song acts as both Crystal Castles and Health's debut singles in addition to being the first single from the album Crystal Castles. It was first released on August 13, 2007 by Trouble Records, accompanied by the B-side "XxzxcuZx Me". The song is a re-working of the Health original track of the same name written by the band members of Health for their eponymous debut album. It was re-written by Ethan Kath of Crystal Castles. Kath also produced the re-worked track. The song contains prominent electro and chiptune musical characteristics.
Before Today is the eighth studio album by American recording artist Ariel Pink, credited to "Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti", and released on June 8, 2010. The album marked Pink's debut on the record label 4AD. Awolnation is an American rock band, formed and fronted by Aaron Bruno, formerly of Under the Influence of Giants, Home Town Hero, and Insurgence. They released their first studio album, Megalithic Symphony, on March 15, 2011; it featured their most notable hit, "Sail", which peaked at number 17 on the Billboard Hot 100, number 4 on the Billboard Rock Songs chart, and number 5 on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart. Szam Findlay is a Canadian electronic music producer who has been active since 1998. While still a teenager he was signed to Rough Trade Publishing . Subsequently, while still in high school his debut album Die Hautfabrik was released by Resonant Recordings/Todtenschlaf in 2001 to acclaim from BBC Allmusic and Incursion. This release marked the beginning of a longtime collaboration with performance artist Dandilion Wind Opaine who provided the artwork for the booklet.

Fleece are a Canadian indie rock band, originating from Montreal. It consists of Matt Rogers (vocals/keyboard), Megan Ennenberg (guitar/vocals), Jameson Daniel (guitar), and Ethan Soil (drums).
