Yong Zhao is an American educator and currently the New Foundation Professor at the University of Kansas. [1] [2]

He earned a bachelor’s degree in English language education from Sichuan International Studies University and a master’s in education and a doctorate in educational psychology both from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Bernadette Gray-Little

Bernadette Gray-Little is a retired academic administrator most recently serving as the 17th chancellor of the University of Kansas, where she was the first African-American and female to serve as the chancellor. She oversaw the university's main campus in Lawrence, its medical center campuses in Kansas City, Salina and Wichita, the Edwards Campus in Overland Park, and other facilities around Kansas. She replaced chancellor Robert Hemenway in August 2009, and retired in June 2017.

The Yong Pung How School of Law is one of the six schools of Singapore Management University. Rakesh "Raj" Kumar Bhala is an Indian-American author, lawyer and professor, prominent in the fields of International Trade Law and Islamic Law (Sharia). He is a professor at the University of Kansas School of Law where he is the inaugural Leo S. Brenneisen Distinguished Professor of Law. Previously he had served as the university's Associate Dean for International and Comparative Law (2011–2017). He is the author of leading textbooks in international trade law, among others, and has a periodic column on international law, titled "On Point," that has been published by BloombergQuint (India) since January 2017. In June 2020, Ingram’s Magazine named him as one of “50 Kansans You Should Know.” He is a member of the U.S. State Department Speaker Program.

Emmanuelle Charpentier French microbiologist and biochemist

Emmanuelle Marie Charpentier is a French professor and researcher in microbiology, genetics, and biochemistry. Since 2015, she has been a Director at the Max Planck Institute for Infection Biology in Berlin. In 2018, she founded an independent research institute, the Max Planck Unit for the Science of Pathogens. In 2020, Charpentier and American biochemist Jennifer Doudna of the University of California, Berkeley, were awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry "for the development of a method for genome editing". This was the first science Nobel ever won by two women alone.

Yong Tan is the Neal and Jan Dempsey Professor of Information Systems at the University of Washington Foster School of Business. He is the director of Center for Data Analytics at USTC-UW Institute for Global Business and Finance Innovation and proved instrumental in establishing the Institute with the University of Science and Technology in China (USTC), Tan’s alma mater. He was named a Chang Jiang Scholar by the Chinese Ministry of Education and Hong Kong Li Ka Shing Foundation, serving as a chair visiting professor at the School of Economics and Management at Tsinghua University. He is the 28th recipient of the INFORMS ISS Distinguished Fellow Award, the most prestigious award in information systems area that recognizes individual's' academic contribution. He has received the 2017 Best Paper Award in Information Systems from Management Science. Tan received the Best Publication Award from the Association of Information Systems.

Yuezhi Zhao Communication scholar

Yuezhi Zhao is a Canadian sociologist. She is a Canada Research Chair in Communication and Media Studies and the founder of the Global Media Monitoring Laboratory at Simon Fraser University. Her research takes an interdisciplinary approach to understanding the relationship between communication and policy in US-China relations, which she regularly publishes research in both English and Chinese.

Yimon Aye American biochemist and molecular biologist

Yimon Aye is an American chemist and molecular biologist. She is one of the daughters of Burmese Navy commander in chief U Soe Thein. He worked for Myanmar military which killed many peaceful unarmed protestors, confiscated people' belongings and destroyed civilians' properties.
