Indestructible is the sixth studio album by the American punk rock band Rancid. It was produced by Brett Gurewitz and released by Hellcat Records with distribution through Warner Bros. Records on August 19, 2003. Despite critical acclaim, the band was criticized by some of its fans for Indestructible's "poppier" sound on some of its tracks. It debuted at number 15 on the charts, selling 51,000 copies in its first week. It was Rancid's highest debut at the time, which was surpassed six years later with their 2009 album, Let the Dominoes Fall. Indestructible marks the last recording by drummer Brett Reed, who left the band in 2006 and was replaced by current drummer Branden Steineckert. Additionally, it is the only album that features songwriting contributions from Reed.
Orchid is an American screamo and hardcore punk band from Amherst, Massachusetts. Originally active from 1997 until 2002, they released several EPs and splits as well as three studio albums. The band consists of lead vocalist Jayson Green, drummer Jeffrey Salane, guitarist Will Killingsworth, and bassist Geoff Garlock. Orchid announced a reunion in December 2023.
Unwritten Law is an American punk rock band formed in 1990 in Poway, California by drummer Wade Youman. Four Ways to Scream Your Name is the second EP by the Welsh post-hardcore band Funeral for a Friend. It was released on 21 April 2003, through Mighty Atom Records in the United Kingdom. It is currently out of print and highly sought after by fans of the band. This EP was released on both CD and 7" vinyl. Each version was limited to 1000 copies. The vinyl edition is thought by many fans to be more valued than the CD due to its aesthetic quality: it is a double red gatefold vinyl. All of the tracks, excluding "She Drove Me to Daytime Television", were included on the band's 2003 US EP, Seven Ways to Scream Your Name.

After a series of singles and EPs, Lemuria released albums between 2007 and 2017, and toured both the U.S. and internationally. The band's most recent effort, "Recreational Hate", was recorded by four-time Grammy award-winning producer/engineer Chris Shaw and released on the band's own record label, Turbo Worldwide, licensed through Asian Man Records in the U.S. and Big Scary Monsters in the U.K. The album was announced December 11, 2017, and was simultaneously received by many of the band's fans as a result of a "secret LP" placed for sale on their website months prior. "Recreational Hate" was made available digitally in December 2017, with physical copies released in February 2018.

Love Equals Death was a punk rock band from Petaluma, California, whose music drew influence from classic rock and horror punk. The group formed in 2003 and released two EPs, one compilation album, and one studio album, 2006's Nightmerica. They toured the United States several times, but encountered problems when founding bassist Dominic Davi was arrested in March 2007 on allegations of rape and subsequently dismissed from the band. He was replaced by former Distillers and Angels & Airwaves bassist Ryan Sinn, and the band toured Europe and the United Kingdom. After Sinn left, a retooled Love Equals Death lineup performed on the 2008 Warped Tour and planned to record a second album, but disbanded after singer and founding member Chon Travis quit in January 2009. Jonathan Bunch was an American rock singer and songwriter, known for fronting the post-hardcore band Sense Field and rock band Further Seems Forever. He went on to form the post-hardcore band War Generation, and, at the time of his death, he was the lead vocalist known as "Johnny Scars" for the band Lucky Scars.
