Am I the Enemy is the third studio album by American rock band The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus.
The album marks a return to the aggressive post-hardcore sound of their debut album as opposed to the polished hard rock featured on Lonely Road . [1] The album saw the band working with famed punk/hardcore producer John Feldmann, who has previously worked with such bands as Escape the Fate, Story of the Year, The Used and Saosin. Feldmann also mixed the album, and arranged and co-wrote all the songs on the album along with vocalist Ronnie Winter.
"Choke" has previously appeared on the band's 2010 The Hell or High Water EP and was released as that EP's lead single.
The lead single, "Reap", was released to radio stations on March 24, 2011 [2] and later released on iTunes on April 26. [1] Two other tracks from the album, "Salvation" and "Fall from Grace", were released on YouTube on May 24. "Dive Too Deep", the second single off the album, and "Dreams" were released through GRAMMY.com and Rolling Stone magazine, respectively, on July 27. [3] [4] July 31 saw the premiere of another song, "Where Are the Heroes?", on Alternative Addiction. [5] Another song, "Don't Lose Hope", was streamed on AOL's music blog on August 8. [6] The album went up for pre-order on iTunes on August 10. [7]
The song "Wake Me Up" was streamed on Alternative Press's website on August 14. "Am I the Enemy" was released to radio on August 16, 2011. [8] It was released on August 30, 2011.

The album received generally mixed reviews upon release.
Emo is a music genre characterized by emotional, often confessional lyrics. It emerged as a style of hardcore punk and post-hardcore from the mid-1980s Washington, D.C. hardcore scene, where it was known as emotional hardcore or emocore. The bands Rites of Spring and Embrace, among others, pioneered the genre. In the early-to-mid 1990s, emo was adopted and reinvented by alternative rock, indie rock, punk rock, and pop-punk bands, including Sunny Day Real Estate, Jawbreaker, Cap'n Jazz, and Jimmy Eat World. By the mid-1990s, Braid, the Promise Ring, and the Get Up Kids emerged from Midwest emo, and several independent record labels began to specialize in the genre. Meanwhile, screamo, a more aggressive style of emo using screamed vocals, also emerged, pioneered by the San Diego bands Heroin and Antioch Arrow. Screamo achieved mainstream success in the 2000s with bands like Hawthorne Heights, Silverstein, Story of the Year, Thursday, the Used, and Underoath.
Goldfinger is an American punk rock band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 1994. In their early years the band was considered a contributor to the movement of third-wave ska, a mid-1990s revitalization in the popularity of ska. However, the releases of Open Your Eyes and Disconnection Notice saw the band shed most of the ska influence, and they have been more commonly placed in the punk rock genre in later years.

"Face Down" is the debut single by the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus from their debut album, Don't You Fake It (2006). The song peaked at number 24 in the United States and number four in New Zealand. It tied 30 Seconds to Mars' "The Kill" as the longest-running song on the US Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart without reaching number one, at 52 weeks. "Face Down" remains the band's most successful single. Four versions were released, including an acoustic version.
"Your Guardian Angel" is a song by the band The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. There are two different versions - a mostly acoustic version found on their first major-label album, Don't You Fake It, and a completely acoustic version on their demo album. "Your Guardian Angel" was released to radio on August 7, 2007. It is the third single released by the band, with the video released on October 15, 2007. It was featured in the season finale of the CBS show Moonlight titled "Mortal Cure". According to Ronnie Winter, the song is dedicated to the eight students that lost their lives in the March 1, 2007 tornado that destroyed a high school in Enterprise, Alabama. The song was even the school's prom theme that year.

The following year, the group recorded and released their debut studio album, Deceiver on August 31, 2010, which reached No. 97 on the Billboard 200 and 15 on Independent Albums.

The Drug in Me Is You is the debut studio album by American rock band Falling in Reverse. Production for the album took place following lead singer Ronnie Radke's departure from Escape the Fate in 2008. Recording took place in December 2010 and lasted until February 2011 at Paint it Black Studios in Orlando, Florida.
