In 2014, 34% of pupils were from homes in which Welsh was the main language; however, 70% of pupils spoke Welsh as a first language or to an equal standard. [2] In 2016, over 80% of pupils in Year 10 and Year 11 studied at least three examination subjects through the medium of Welsh. [3] As of 2023, 31% of pupils came from Welsh-speaking homes. [4]
