Yuriy Orlov (born 2 June 1977) is a Ukrainian sailor. He competed in the Laser event at the 2004 Summer Olympics. [1]

Leonid Vladimirovich Bartenyev was a Soviet athlete who competed mainly in the 100 metres. Bartenyev was born in Poltava in October 1933. He trained at Burevestnik in Kiev. He competed for the USSR in the 1956 Summer Olympics held in Melbourne in the 4 x 100 metre relay where he won the silver medal with his teammates Boris Tokarev, Yuriy Konovalov, and Vladimir Sukharev. He teamed up with Yuriy Konovalov again four years later in the 1960 Summer Olympics held in Rome in the 4 x 100 metre relay where they won their second silver medals with new teammates Gusman Kosanov and Edvin Ozolin.

The Statue of Yuriy Dolgorukiy is an equestrian statue which commemorates the founding of Moscow in 1147 by Yuriy Dolgorukiy. Dolgorukiy was the Grand Prince of the Kievan Rus' (Kiev) and a member of the Rurik dynasty. On 6 June 1954, the statue was erected on Soviet Square, located in front of the Mossoviet building. The sculptors were Sergei Mikhailovich Orlov, A. P. Antropov, and Nicholay Lvovich Shtamm. The architectural design was by Viktor Semenovich Andreyev. The statue replaced the Monument to the Soviet Constitution, which had been demolished in 1941.

Yuriy Vasilyevich Smoloviy is a Russian Kazakhstani male water polo player. He was a member of the Russia men's national water polo team and Kazakhstan men's national water polo team, playing as a centre forward. He was a part of the Russian team at the 1996 Summer Olympics and of the Kazakhstani team at the 2000 Summer Olympics and 2004 Summer Olympics. On club level he played for Lukoil-Spartak in Russia.
