Yuva Janata Dal

Yuva Janata Dal (Young People's Party) was the youth wing of the erstwhile Janata Dal. YJD was a member of World Federation of Democratic Youth. The youth wings of the JD splinter groups have similar names such as Yuva Janata Dal (Secular), Yuva Janata Dal (United), Yuva Rashtriya Janata Dal, Loktantrik Yuva Janata Dal etc.

Nawal Kishore Rai was a leader of Janata Dal (United) from Bihar. He served as member of the Lok Sabha representing Sitamarhi. He was elected to 10th, 11th and 13th Lok Sabha. He was married to Smt. Ram Dulari Rai and lived in Sitamarhi, Bihar, India.

He is a member of Janata Dal (United); he won the 2015 Legislative Assembly election to the Tekari constituency by defeating Anil Kumar of Hindustani Awam Morcha, a political party headed by erstwhile member of Janata Dal (United), Jitan Ram Manjhi. In the 2015 election he defeated Anil Kumar, who joined Hindustani Awami Morcha leaving his former party Janata Dal (United) by a huge margin of votes. While Abhay secured 86,975 votes, Anil managed to get 55,162 votes only.
