College

Varga attended Hempfield High School played college soccer at Duquesne University from 2002 to 2006. After redshirting in his freshman year, Varga went on to become the cornerstone of Duquesne's team, being named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Year in 2003, to the Atlantic 10 All-Conference Second Team in 2004, and being named to the Atlantic 10 All-Conference First Team and Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Year in 2005. He is Duquesne's career leader in goals against average, at 0.78.

Hempfield High School is a public senior high school located in Salunga-Landisville, Pennsylvania, United States. It serves both East and West Hempfield townships and serves as the only high school for Hempfield School District.

Duquesne University of the Holy Spirit is a private Catholic university in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States. Founded by members of the Congregation of the Holy Spirit, Duquesne first opened its doors as the Pittsburgh Catholic College of the Holy Ghost in October 1878 with an enrollment of 40 students and a faculty of six. Cleveland Internationals was an American soccer team based in Cleveland, Ohio, United States. Founded in 2004, the team played in the USL Premier Development League (PDL), the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid, in the Great Lakes Division of the Central Conference. The franchise folded at the end of the 2010 season and left the league thereafter.

Professional

Varga turned professional in 2008 when he signed with the Pittsburgh Riverhounds upon their return to the USL Second Division. He made his professional debut on April 25, 2008 in a 3-0 defeat to Crystal Palace Baltimore, [2] and was the 'Hounds first choice keeper throughout the year.
