Jaidev (Akshay Kumar) and Gayatri (Ashwini Bhawe) are childhood lovers who are separated due to some misunderstanding. Jaidev becomes a successful music director in Mumbai. Gayatri goes to Mumbai in search of Jaidev. There she meets Mala, who is the lead singer of Jaidev's music company. She addresses herself as Jaidev's wife (but she is not) in front of Gayatri, unknown to Jaidev. Gayatri, heartbroken, leaves from there with her daughter. Jaidev fires Mala due to her careless attitude towards music. Jaidev searches for a new voice for his company. There he meets Guddi (Vandana), who is a fabulous singer. Jaidev launches Guddi and she becomes a successful singer. Meanwhile, Jaidev falls in love with Guddi. Guddi, unaware of the fact, meets Abhimanyu (Ravi Kishan) in Darjeeling and falls in love with him. They come back to meet Jaidev and Jaidev decides to get them married. Abhimanyu is killed by Jaidev's rivals, who want to kill Vandana to close Jaidev's music company. Vandana still in depression after Abhimanyu's death, realises Jaidev's love for her and plans to get married. She bumps into Gayatri. Gayatri's misunderstandings are cleared when she knows the truth. She decided to tell that to Jaidev, but Vandana tries to stop her. During the wedding, some goons attack Vandana and she dies, reuniting Jaidev and Gayatri. [4]

Raja Hindustani is a 1996 Indian Hindi-language romantic drama film directed by Dharmesh Darshan. It tells the story of a cab driver from a small town who falls in love with a rich young woman. Aamir Khan and Karisma Kapoor play the lead roles. Released on 15 November 1996, the film's plot was inspired from the 1965 film Jab Jab Phool Khile, starring Shashi Kapoor and Nanda. The film's music was composed by Nadeem-Shravan, with lyrics by Sameer. It went on to win five Filmfare Awards, including the awards for Best Film, Best Actors, Best Music and seven Screen Awards.

Being inspired by the novel Wuthering Heights, it also features Sharmila Tagore, Parmeet Sethi, Kiran Kumar, Sushma Seth and Manjeet Kullar in supporting roles. The story follows, Anjali and Dev are in love with each other and plan to marry, but her family gets her married to Ram. Years later, Dev shows up to reunite with Anjali, however, she has fallen in love with Ram. The music was composed by Nadeem–Shravan.
Guddi is a 1971 Indian Hindi drama film directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee and written by Gulzar. It starred Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Utpal Dutt. It is Jaya Bachchan 's career-making film in which she plays a schoolgirl who has a crush on and is obsessed with the actor Dharmendra, who plays himself. She earned a Filmfare nomination as Best Actress, the only nomination for the film. Utpal Dutt also has a starring role. Many Bollywood actors like Rajesh Khanna, Naveen Nischol, Asrani, Amitabh Bachchan, Vinod Khanna, Om Prakash and Pran gave guest appearances as themselves. According to Boxofficeindia.com, the film became a "big city hit" and did "above average" business everywhere else. It was later remade in Tamil as Cinema Paithiyam (1975) starring Jayachitra and Jayasankar.

Laxmii is a 2020 Indian Hindi-language horror comedy film written and directed by Raghava Lawrence, marking his directorial debut in the Hindi film industry. A remake of his own Tamil film Kanchana (2011), it stars Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani, while Ayesha Raza Mishra, Rajesh Sharma, Ashwini Kalsekar and Sharad Kelkar play pivotal roles. The film revolves around a man who gets possessed by the ghost of a transgender person. Kumar, also produced the film under his Cape of Good Films and Fox Star Studios, along with Tusshar Kapoor's newly launched production company, Tusshar Entertainment House and Shabinaa Entertainment. Lawrence co-wrote the script along with Farhad Samji, Sparsh Khetarpal, Tasha Bhambra, with Samji adapting the screenplay and dialogues to the Hindi version. The film was announced in January 2019, whilst the principal photography began in April 2019 and ended in March 2020.
