Zakkum are a Turkish rock group. It was created in 1999 under the name Raindog in Ankara. Raindog had many stage performances, before they started working on an album and chose a Turkish name "Zakkum" for their band. [1]
The group dates back to 1998. Cem Senyücel, Yusuf Demirkol and Eren Parlakgümüş were each following their solo music career until they were brought together with the idea of forming a group. [1] They initially started to perform at Sinema Bar and subsequently appeared on stage in many other places. Emre Yılmaztürk joined as the fourth and last member in 2003. [2]
Until 2004, they primarily performed and covered the works of Placebo, Radiohead, Morrissey, The Smiths, The Cure, The Smashing Pumpkins, Suede and eventually began to release their own songs. [3]
Orhan Gencebay is a Turkish musician, bağlama virtuoso, composer, singer, arranger, music producer, music director, and actor. Gencebay was born in the coastal town of Samsun on 4 August 1944. He is of Crimean Tatar descent. In 1998, he was named a State Artist of Turkey.
Ohannes Tunçboyacı, better known as Onno Tunç, was a leading Armenian musician from Turkey, working mainly as a composer, arranger and a music producer. Tunç also played bass guitar and occasionally double bass, contributing to the albums of several musicians. He was one of the prominent names of Turkish pop music in the 1980s and 1990s with his arrangements. He was the elder brother of musician Arto Tunçboyacıyan.

Nevra Serezli is a Turkish film, stage, television and voice actress. Following her graduation from Robert College, she went on to study theatre. In 1965, she started working as a professional stage actress at the Dormen Theatre. Two years later, she appeared at the Ankara Art Theatre. Between 1971 and 1978, she performed in numerous plays with Altan Erbulak and Metin Serezli. In 1984, she registered with Devekuşu Kabare Tiyatrosu as an actress. She served at the Devekuşu Kabare until 1989. After reprising her duties at the Dormen Theatre in 1990, she joined the theatrical assembly called Tiyatro İstanbul. She gave lessons at the Language and Culture Centre (LCC).
Anıl Acar, better known by his stage name Gazapizm, is a Turkish rapper. He began making Turkish hip hop music in 2003, and in 2012 he founded Argo İzmir in Konak, İzmir. In 2014, he published the album Yeraltı Edebiyatı. He attracted attention with his street-like music compositions. In 2016, he released his second studio album Bir Gün Her Şey. He later recorded music videos for the songs "Gece Sabahın" and "Memleketsiz" in İzmir. His song "Heyecanı Yok" was featured on the soundtrack for the TV series Çukur. The song's release coincided with a period in which Turkish rap songs were more visible and used in the media and television. Later together with Cem Adrian, Gazapizm recorded the song "Kalbim Çukurda" for the same TV series.

Ceylan Avcı is a Turkish singer, arranger, television presenter and actress. Her mother is from Bayburt, Bayburt Province, and her father is from Pertek, Tunceli Province. She emigrated to North Rhine-Westphalia, Duisburg, West Germany with her family at the age of 8 and lived there until she was 15. in 1990, she returned to Turkey with her family. Ceylan started her career in 1984 as a child singer and actress. She started her career by taking recurring roles in a number of movies and released her own studio albums. Her 1986 album, Seni Sevmeyen Ölsün, sold 1.3 million copies in Turkey. Her 2005 album, Ah Gönlüm, received a gold certification from Mü-Yap. She has twice won Best Female Folk Singer at the Kral TV Video Music Awards. She hosted a 2012–2016 years of music television talk show under the name of Ceylan Show that aired on Kanal 7 and Samanyolu TV.
