Zarmed University is a private university in Bukhara, Uzbekistan. Founded in 2022, it is the first private university established in Bukhara. The university was founded by entrepreneur and philanthropist Dilshod Dalerovich Shukurlaev. It has two campuses - in Bukhara and in Samarkand.
Zarmed University was established as Turon Zarmed University by medical entrepreneur Dilshod Shukurlaev in August 2022. [2] He was instrumental in establishing the joint Uzbek-Indian project Zarmed - Pratiksha Hospital in Samarkand in 2021. [3] [4] Shukurlaev was inspired to found the university after the visit of the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev. [5]
Zarmed University has two campuses - in Bukhara and in Samarkand.
Zarmed's 3-hectare (7.4 acre) Bukhara campus is situated on Kayum Murtazaev Street and has 9 blocks. [6]
Zarmed's 2.8-hectare (6.9 acre) Samarkand campus is situated on Khodzha Akhror Vali street and has 10 blocks. [6]

The Academy of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan is a body for the training of highly qualified military personnel for the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan. It was originally established as an inter-service educational institution that serves the purpose of training officers for higher level leadership positions. Cadets who study at the academy are enrolled for at least 2 years. It was the first institution of its kind to be established on the militaries of Central Asia. The school requires all cadets to be fluent in the Uzbek language as well as have a basic knowledge of Russian.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev's tenure as the 2nd President of Uzbekistan began with his inauguration 14 December 2016, after serving as prime minister (2003–16) and acting president following the death of his predecessor, Islam Karimov. In accordance with the Constitution of Uzbekistan, his mandate will last until 2026, following his re-election in 2021.

Saida Shavkatovna Mirziyoyeva is an Uzbek politician and the eldest daughter of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. In August 2023, Mirziyoyeva was appointed the first assistant to the president of the country and took over the highest position in the president's administration after the head of state.
The Uzbekistan cough syrup scandal was a series of poisonings that resulted in the deaths of 18 children in Samarkand and two more children elsewhere in Uzbekistan in December 2022 and January 2023. Abbosova was also involved in projects aimed at creating quality digital content in Uzbek, including the WikiStipendiya edit-a-thon on Uzbek Wikipedia. Since 2022, Abbosova has served as an advisor to the director of the Youth Affairs Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
