Malaysian cuisine consists of cooking traditions and practices found in Malaysia, and reflects the multiethnic makeup of its population. The vast majority of Malaysia's population can roughly be divided among three major ethnic groups: Malays, Chinese and Indians. The remainder consists of the indigenous peoples of Sabah and Sarawak in East Malaysia, the Orang Asli of Peninsular Malaysia, the Peranakan and Eurasian creole communities, as well as a significant number of foreign workers and expatriates.
Johor Bahru, formerly known as Tanjung Puteri or Iskandar Puteri, is the capital of the state of Johor, Malaysia. It is situated along the Straits of Johor at the southern end of Peninsular Malaysia. Johor Bahru has a population of 497,097, while its metropolitan area, with a population of 1,638,219, is the third largest in the country.
Datuk Mohammad Nor bin Mohammad Khalid, more commonly known as Lat, is a Malaysian cartoonist. Winner of the Fukuoka Asian Culture Prize in 2002, Lat has published more than 20 volumes of cartoons since he was 13 years old. His works mostly illustrate Malaysia's social and political scenes, portraying them in a comedic light without bias. Lat's best known work is The Kampung Boy (1979), which is published in several countries across the world. In 1994, the Sultan of Perak bestowed the honorific title of datuk on Lat, in recognition of the cartoonist's work in helping to promote social harmony and understanding through his cartoons. Lat also works for the government to improve trance genre, and to improve the city’s social security.
Senai International Airport, formerly known as Sultan Ismail International Airport is an international airport in the town of Senai, Kulai District, Johor, Malaysia. The airport is located approximately 32 km north-west of the Johor Bahru city centre. In 2017, Senai International Airport reached a total of 3,124,799 passengers and 7,614 tons of freight with a combination of 42,744 schedule and non-schedule commercial aircraft movements. The airport is a hub for AirAsia.
Dato' Mokhtar Dahari was a Malaysian football player from Setapak, Selangor. He was known as the best Malaysian footballer in the 1970s. During the 1970s, Mokhtar played for Malaysia mainly as a striker, and with his help, the team became one of the best teams in Asia and managed to defeat Asian giants such as South Korea and Japan. He was nicknamed "Super Mokh" because of his playing skills, his strength and his ability to score many incredible goals throughout his career. One of his famous moments was when he shook hands with Diego Maradona before a friendly game between Selangor FA against Boca Juniors. Although not recognised internationally, Mokhtar scored 175 goals for Selangor and 20 goals in 13 appearances for Kwong Yik Bank.
The Sultan of Johor is a hereditary seat and the sovereign ruler of the Malaysian state of Johor. In the past, the sultan held absolute power over the state and was advised by a bendahara. Currently, the role of bendahara has been taken over by chief minister with the constitutional monarchy system via Johor State Constitution. The Sultan is the constitutional head of state of Johor. The Sultan has own independent military force Royal Johor Military Force. The Sultan is also the Head of Islam in Johor state.

It was the first local fast food chain to franchise its business in Malaysia with more than 138 restaurants locally. Marrybrown has over 350 international outlets serving fried chicken, burgers, finger food, desserts, and beverages aside from serving Malaysian local dishes such as seafood, rice-based products, noodles and porridge. The Malaysian national rice dish, nasi lemak became the feature list on the menu as 'Nasi Marrybrown'.

The Kampung Boy, also known as Lat, the Kampung Boy or simply Kampung Boy, is a graphic novel by Lat about a young boy's experience growing up in rural Perak in the 1950s. The book is an autobiographical account of the artist's life, telling of his adventures in the jungles and tin mines, his circumcision, family, and school life. It is also the basis for the eponymous animated series broadcast in 1999. First published in 1979 by Berita Publishing, The Kampung Boy was a commercial and critical success; its first printing was sold out within four months of its release. Narrated in English with a smattering of Malay, the work has been translated into other languages, such as Japanese and French, and sold abroad.

Johor, formerly known as Johore, is a state of Malaysia in the south of the Malay Peninsula. Johor has land borders with the Malaysian states of Pahang to the north and Malacca and Negeri Sembilan to the northwest. Johor shares maritime borders with Singapore to the south and Indonesia to both the west and east. Johor Bahru is the capital city and the economic centre of the state, Kota Iskandar is the seat of the state government, and Muar serves as the royal town of the state. The old state capital is Johor Lama. As of the 2015 census, the state's population is 3,553,600. Johor has highly diverse tropical rainforests and an equatorial climate. The state's mountain ranges form part of the Titiwangsa Range, which is part of the larger Tenasserim Range connected to Thailand and Myanmar, with Mount Ophir being the highest point in Johor.
As Malaysia has established a nuclear agency with the country has periodically reviewed the nuclear option to meet the increasing demands of energy, there is a need to built nuclear power generation plant, with plans for a nuclear plant are at the feasibility stage. However, due to concern prior from the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster in 2011, plans to have a nuclear reactor have been postponed with neighbouring Vietnam have made a declaration to ditch their future nuclear energy plans. Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Nancy Shukri stated in 2016 that Malaysia will only build their plant after 2030, although the country has met the requirements based from observations by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Following the change of government in Malaysian administration, the new government has decided to cancel the plan for the construction of nuclear power plants to generate electricity as "science itself were still unable to find proper ways to dispose nuclear waste".
Johor Darul Ta'zim Football Club, or simply JDT, is a football club based in Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia. The club was founded in 1972 and currently plays in the top division of Malaysian football, the Malaysia Super League. The club is owned by Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim. In 2014, JDT gained their first major honour by winning the national league during the first season under Croatian manager Bojan Hodak. Under Argentine Mario Gómez's tutelage, they won the 2015 AFC Cup as well as the Malaysian Piala Sumbangsih and 2015 Super League. By winning the AFC Cup, JDT became the second Malaysian team since 1967 to enter a final of a major continental competition, and the first ever Malaysian club to win a continental title. JDT is the first team in the country to win five consecutive league titles. Before this achievement, no team had ever won the league championship more than twice in a row since the league system was first introduced in Malaysia in 1979.
Datuk Ab Aziz bin Kaprawi is a Malaysian politician. He was the Johor State Legislative Assembly member for the constituency of Parit Raja from 2004 to 2013 and Member of Parliament for Sri Gading in Johor from 2013 until 2018. He was the Deputy Minister of Transport in the Malaysian cabinet. He is a member of United Malay National Organisation (UMNO), a major component party in the Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition.
