Zenaida Garcia Cruz-Ducut (born February 5,1956) is a Filipino lawyer and politician. [1] She is also former Pampanga's 2nd district representative from 1995 to 2004 and former chair of the Energy Regulatory Commission. [2] [3] [4] [5]
Cruz-Ducut was born on February 5,1956 at Barangay Santa Catalina in Lubao,Pampanga to Bienvenido Cruz,a farmer and Rosario Garcia,a housewife. She studied Graciano Paule Elementary School in her primary education and she studied Holy Rosary Academy in Lubao,Pampanga in her secondary education. She entered her studies at the Far Eastern University where she received Major in Political Science and Bachelor of Laws. In 1986,Cruz-Ducut passed the bar examinations.[ citation needed ]
In 1992,Cruz-Ducut is entered the politics when she is a councilor of Lubao. She ran a congressional seat in the second district of Pampanga and won during the 1995 national elections. [6] [7] [8]
She received the multiple awards and citations,such as;Presidential Citation as the Energetic Legal Aid Lawyer;Distinguished Professor Award of the Harvadian College in San Fernando,Pampanga;Distinguish Kapampangan Awardee in Public Service and Most Outstanding Congresswoman of 1997 and 1998.
Cruz-Ducut is married to Crisanto Ducut,a engineer and has 4 children.
