Yao Bin is a Chinese figure skating coach. He is considered one of the pioneers of the sport in China. Yao and his partner Luan Bo were the first team to represent China at the World Figure Skating Championships. Since then Yao has almost single-handedly turned China into a pair skating world power.
Peng Shuai is a Chinese tennis player. In February 2014, she was ranked world No. 1 doubles player by the WTA, becoming the first Chinese tennis player to achieve that ranking. She peaked at No. 14 of the singles rankings in August 2011, and won two singles and 23 doubles titles on the WTA Tour.
Zhang Guozheng is a Chinese weightlifter. Zhang is a World champion, Olympic champion and World Record holder. In January, 1999, Zhang Guozheng was named a member of the National Men's weightlifting team. He ranked fourth at the Sydney Olympic Games in 2000 in the 69 kg class. On October 3, 2002, at the Busan Asian Games, Zhang Guozheng took gold in the 69 kg class with a total score of 345 kilograms. In 2004, Zhang Guozeng won the Athens Olympic Games in the 69 kg class champion. On December 3, 2006, at the 15th Asian Games, Zhang Guozheng totaled 336 kg for a gold medal with a 152 kg snatch and a 184 kg clean and jerk. Zhang retired after 2008 and now serves as the deputy head coach for the men's weightlifting team.
Zhang Hao is a Chinese retired pair skater. With current partner Yu Xiaoyu, he is the 2016–17 Grand Prix Final silver medalist, 2017 Asian Winter Games champion and 2018 Chinese national champion. With former partner Peng Cheng, he is the 2015 Four Continents silver medalist. With former partner Zhang Dan, he is the 2006 Olympic silver medalist, a four-time World medalist, and a two-time Four Continents champion.

The China men's national volleyball team represents China in international volleyball competitions and friendly matches, governed by Chinese Volleyball Association. The team competed twice in the Olympic Games, finishing in eighth place at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, California, and fifth place in the 2008 Summer Olympics at home in Beijing. China have been consistently competing the FIVB World Championship, with a best of seventh place in both 1978 and 1982. Peng Xinyong is a Chinese former badminton player. She competed at the 1996 Summer Olympics in the women's and mixed doubles teamed-up with Chen Ying and Chen Xingdong respectively. Together with Chen Xingdong, she reached a career high as World No. 3 in the mixed doubles event. Peng won a gold medal at the 1997 East Asian Games in the women's doubles event with Zhang Jin. She also part of the national team that won the 1995 Sudirman Cup and runner-up at the 1996 Uber Cup.

The disappearance of Peng Shuai occurred after 2 November 2021 when tennis star Peng Shuai accused former Chinese Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli of sexual assault three years earlier. Peng and Zhang had purportedly been involved in an extramarital affair both before and after the incident, and their relationship ended shortly before her post. Information about her story was censored by the Chinese government. Afterwards, Peng disappeared from public view in what was suspected but not proved to be a forced disappearance. She showed up in state media two weeks later. E-mails and interview publications have depicted her denying that she made the accusation of sexual assault. The incident elicited international concern over her safety, whereabouts, and ability to communicate freely, and the WTA suspended all its events in China until April 2023.
