Zhou Suhong is a Chinese volleyball player, who was a member of the Chinese women's national team that won the gold medal at both the World Cup and the Athens Olympic Games. She is an opposite hitter. She is married to former Chinese men's national volleyball team member Tang Miao. She wears uniform number 7. Her hobbies include music and reading and Zhou is currently studying at Zhejiang University.

The FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship is an international women's club volleyball competition organised by the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB), the sport's global governing body. The competition was first contested in 1991 in Brazil. It was not held between 1995 and 2009, but since 2010, the competition has been held every year, and has been hosted by Qatar, Switzerland, the Philippines, Japan, China and Turkey. The competition was held in Zhejiang Province of China in 2018 and 2019. After the 2020 championship was cancelled due to corona virus pandemic, the competition was held in Turkey in 2021.

Chen Zhaodi was a Chinese volleyball player, coach, and military general. She was a key member of the Chinese national team that won the 1981 FIVB World Cup and the 1982 FIVB World Championship. After retiring as a player in 1983, she served as assistant coach and later team manager for the national team, and as head coach for the national women's junior team. She later became Director of the Culture and Sports Bureau of the People's Liberation Army General Political Department and was awarded the rank of major general, making her the only Chinese sportsperson to become a military general. Chen suffered from cancer and died in 2013 at the age of 57.
The Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship, previously the AVC Cup Women's Club Tournament, is an annual continental club volleyball competition organised by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC), the sport's continental governing body. The competition was first contested in 1999 in Thailand. It was not held in 2003 and 2020 due to 2002–2004 SARS outbreak and COVID-19 pandemic respectively.
The 2021–22 Chinese Women's Volleyball Super League is the 25th season of the Chinese Women's Volleyball Super League, the highest professional volleyball league in China. The season began on 25 November 2021 and end the Finals on 6 January 2022. Tianjin Bohai Bank were the defending champion. The league is divided into three stages. The first stage, 14 teams separated into two groups, matches began on 25 November and ended on 4 December. The second stage, began on 15 December and ended on 28 December. The final stage, began on 30 December and ended on 6 January.
