Except after certain holidays, it is published daily. Its name derives from that of the Finnish capital, Helsinki, where it is published. It is considered a newspaper of record for Finland.

Sunny Car Center was a planned car sales centre, planned to be built at the 27.5 hectare site between the highway and the railroad in Kirstula, Hämeenlinna, Finland. Plans for the centre included about 75 thousand square metres on several floors for car sales and associated activities. Had the centre been completed it would have become the largest car sales centre in Europe. The project underwent several difficulties, and it was finally abandoned when the sales of the land lot necessary for its construction was cancelled. The CEO of the project was Markku Ritaluoma.

DTM is an LGBT nightclub in Helsinki, Finland. Founded in 1992, it was once the largest gay club in Northern Europe. The venue was initially situated in Helsinki's Kamppi neighborhood, having since relocated twice: first, to Iso Roobertinkatu in Punavuori in 2003, and second, to Mannerheimintie in Kluuvi in 2012. Popular with gay men, DTM also caters to a straight and lesbian customer base. The club's playlists contain primarily pop songs, dance music, techno and Finnish hits, with live entertainment often taking the form of drag shows. Through an agreement with UK-based promoter Klub Kids, DTM hosted visiting performers from RuPaul's Drag Race from January 2019 to early 2020, when the Mannerheimintie venue closed.
The Koskela teen murder was a homicide that happened in Koskela, Helsinki, Finland on 4 December 2020. The victim was a 16-year-old whose name has yet to be released by Finnish law enforcement due to privacy regulations. The police charged three boys, all aged 16, with the murder. They were incarcerated in the Helsinki District Court on 10 December. The perpetrators and the victim knew each other beforehand. According to the police, the motive for the act was to punish the victim for some earlier activity.
Presidential elections are expected to be held in Finland on Sunday, 28 January 2024, with a possible second round on Sunday, 11 February 2024. Snacky was a small Finnish fast food chain operating in the Helsinki capital area. Founded in 1980, the chain was operating until 1995, and then again under a new owner from 2007 to 2015. As the chain went bankrupt, its owner was sentenced to jail for severe financial crimes. In 2021 Snacky returned again, now as a virtual restaurant, where Snacky products can be bought through Foodora and Wolt. Snacky does not have its own restaurant premises.
Hotel Korpilampi is a hotel in Lahnus, Espoo, Finland, operated by Pandox. Construction of this first so-called "wilderness hotel" in the Helsinki capital region started in 1975 and the hotel was opened in 1977. The hotel became publicly known in connection with the Korpilampi seminar in 1977. The hotel has a total of 156 rooms and 17 conference halls. The hotel also has a restaurant, a spa and a health club. Lomaliitto, the previous owner of Hotel Korpilampi, went bankrupt in 2009. After the bankruptcy the hotel was closed for a year and a half until Pandox bought the hotel.
The Hakaniemi market hall is a market building at the Hakaniemi market square in the district of Kallio in Helsinki, Finland. It was built at the start of the street Hämeentie in 1914.
The Commerce house is a five-floor residential and business building in Tampere, Finland, located along the Hämeenkatu street and the Tampere Central Square at the so-called Jugendtori square, built in 1899. The building represents the Art Nouveau style and was designed by the Helsinki-based architecture bureau Andersin, Jung ja Bomanson. The name of the building comes from the French word commerce, meaning business or commerce.
Sompasaari is an island on the Kruunuvuorenselkä water area in the Sörnäinen district in Helsinki, Finland. On the southern side of the Nihdinkanava channel built in the middle of Sompasaari is the island of Nihti.
Tervasaari, meaning "tar island", is an island in Helsinki, Finland, in front of the district of Kruununhaka. Tervasaari is connected to the mainland by a long causeway called Tervasaarenkannas. The causeway is connected to the Pohjoisranta street on the eastern edge of the city centre.
