Zoar is a primarily instrumental musical group from New York City. Michael Montes, a former medical student, formed Zoar in 1995 with Peter Rundquist, who formerly worked on Wall Street, and Erik Friedlander. [1] Zoar's music is sometimes categorized as rock, [2] but the band categorize themselves as Gothic, Ambient, Classical, and Experimental. [3] [4]

Jon Hassell American trumpeter

Jon Hassell is an American trumpet player and composer active since the 1960s. He is best known for developing the concept of "Fourth World" music, which describes a "unified primitive/futurist sound" combining elements of various world ethnic traditions with modern electronic techniques. The concept was first articulated on Fourth World, Vol. 1: Possible Musics, his 1980 collaboration with Brian Eno. He has also worked with artists such as the Theatre of Eternal Music, Talking Heads, Farafina, Peter Gabriel, Tears for Fears, Ani DiFranco, Techno Animal, Ry Cooder, Moritz von Oswald, and Carl Craig.

Brendan Perry

Brendan Michael Perry is a British singer and multi-instrumentalist best known for his work as half of the duo Dead Can Dance with Lisa Gerrard.

O-Town is an American boy band formed from the first season of the reality television series Making the Band in 2000. As of 2015 the group consisted of Erik-Michael Estrada, Trevor Penick, Jacob Underwood, and Dan Miller. The line up also included Ashley Parker Angel. Ikaika Kahoano was originally part of the band but was replaced by Miller after dropping out of the group.

Detholz! are a Chicago-based band consisting of Jim Cooper, Charlie Towns, Jon Steinmeier, Andrew Sole and Benjamin Miranda. While the eclectic nature of their songs prevent a definitive categorization, they are frequently listed as an alternative rock or a new wave outfit, and Devo is often cited as an influence. Formed in 1996, the band has attracted a loyal following in Chicago. Erik Friedlander is an American cellist and composer based in New York City.

Carmen Rizzo is a producer, mixer, programmer, DJ, remixer and recording artist based in Los Angeles. The two-time Grammy nominee has worked with Seal, Coldplay, Paul Oakenfold, Alanis Morissette, Dido, Jem, Niyaz, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Khaled, Tiësto, BT, Esthero, A.R. Rahman and Pete Townshend.

Legion of the Damned (band)

Legion of the Damned is a Dutch thrash metal/death metal band. The band was formed in 1992 as 'Occult', but changed their name in 2006 to 'Legion of the Damned'. Lyrically the band tend to focus on horror motifs, dark occult and religious themes and apocalyptic events. They have recorded their albums Malevolent Rapture and Sons of the Jackal in the well known Stage One Studio with producer Andy Classen. The special edition of their 2008 release Cult of the Dead comes with an item unique in metal merchandising, being a cheese block emblazoned with their logo. This is a nod to their Dutch origins.

Clouds Without Water is the third album by the band Zoar. Unlike previous Zoar albums, this one contains songs with lyrics performed for the album. The album's title derives from a collection of poetry by Aleister Crowley, entitled Clouds without Water.

Phil Puleo

Phil Puleo is an American composer, drummer, illustrator and visual artist from New York. He is known as a founding member of the band Cop Shoot Cop and for his current involvement in the experimental rock group Swans.
