Are You Afraid of the Dark

!Oka Tokat is a Philippine supernatural horror drama television series which originally aired on ABS-CBN from June 24, 1997 to May 7, 2002 every Tuesday night, replacing Abangan ang Susunod Na Kabanata . It starred Agot Isidro alongside Ricky Davao, Carmina Villaroel, Alessandra De Rossi, Rica Peralejo, Diether Ocampo, Jericho Rosales, Angelika Dela Cruz, Marc Solis, Bojo Molina, Paolo Contis and later, Emman Abeleda, Shaina Magdayao, Alwyn Uytingco, Joy Chiong, and Jiro Manio on its reformat of the series. Its title is the reverse spelling of the phrase "Takot ako!" (translates to "I'm scared!"); hence, the exclamation point at the beginning. Later on December 4, 2001, !Oka Tokat was reformatted as a comedy horror adventure series.

It was re-aired on ABS-CBN's cable channel, Jeepney TV. This series was also streaming on Jeepney TV's own YouTube Channel every 8:00 pm.

Plot

The show revolves around a media crew led by Rona del Fierro (played by Agot Isidro) who investigate paranormal cases with the help del Fierro's premonitions. Most of the story arcs feature creatures in Filipino mythology, including the dwende (dwarf), tikbalang, diwata and the engkanto.

Sometime later in the reformat, it now revolves around a group of five children led by Rona's cousin Kyle (played by Emman Abeleda) who has inherited psychic powers from his mother. He is also joined by his new neighbors and friends including Twinkle (played by Shaina Magdayao), Bobong (played by Alwyn Uytingco), Britney (played by Joy Chiong) and Tofu (played by Jiro Manio).

In 2011, ABS-CBN announced that !Oka Tokat will have its sequel entitled "Oka2kat". It was supposed to be aired in March 2011 but it was delayed to February 4, 2012. The sequel does not focus on the previous characters but has the same genre.

Ang TV was a Philippine youth-oriented comedy variety show which its aired on ABS-CBN from October 19, 1992 to March 7, 1997, replaced by Zenki. The show's format was inspired by its predecessor Kaluskos Musmos, and its foreign counterpart The Mickey Mouse Club. Prior to 1992, TV executive Freddie Garcia and ace TV director Johnny Manahan organized the ABS-CBN Talent Center and enlisted a group of kids and pre-teens to create the first ever youth-oriented comedy-variety show in the Philippines. Its phenomenal success in 1993 had ABS-CBN develop provincial versions of Ang TV in Cebu, Bacolod and Davao.

Epol/Apple was a Philippine educational children's television series produced by the E-Media program of ABS-CBN Foundation and the Department of Education, Culture and Sports. It aired on ABS-CBN from 1999 to its final episode in 2004 next to Sine'skwela and Math-Tinik. It is the ABS-CBN's only educational television series in English.
