The 2007 Australian GT Championship was a CAMS sanctioned Australian motor racing championship open to closed production based sports cars as approved for FIA GT3 competition and to similar cars as approved by CAMS. [1] The championship began on 3 February 2007 at Eastern Creek Raceway and ended on 9 December at Sandown Raceway after eight rounds held across five states. It was the eleventh Australian GT Championship.

The championship was won by Danish driver Allan Simonsen who drove a Ferrari 360 GT owned by Ted Huglin in the first four rounds and a Ferrari F430, newly imported by Mark Coffey Racing, in the last four rounds. [2]

Allan Simonsen and Tim Leahey were awarded the 2007 Australian Tourist Trophy for their victory in the Sandown GT Classic. [4]

Points system

For Rounds 1, 2, 4, 5, 6 and 7, points were awarded on a 38-32-28-25-23-21-19-18-17-16-15-14-13-12-11-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 basis for the top 25 positions in each of the three races.
Round 3 featured only two races and points were allocated on a 57-48-42-37.5-34.5-31.5-28.5-27-25.5-24-22.5-21-19.5-18-16.5-15-13.5-12-10.5-9-7.5-6-4.5-3-1.5 basis.
Round 8 was a 500 kilometre endurance round and points were allocated on a 114-96-84-75-69-63-57-54-51-48-45-42-39-36-33-30-27-24-21-18-15-12-9-6-3 basis.
Three bonus points were allocated for pole position at each of the eight rounds. [1]

The total for each driver was adjusted by deducting the worst round point score of those rounds which were contested. This resulted in drivers scoring zero nett points if they only contested only one round. [5]

The 2009 championship was the 53rd Australian Drivers' Championship and the fifth to be contested with open wheel racing cars constructed in accordance with FIA Formula 3 regulations. The season began on 19 March 2009 at the Adelaide Street Circuit and finished on 29 November at Sandown Raceway after eight events across four different states with two rounds per event. The 2009 Kerrick Sports Sedan Series was an Australian motor sport competition which began on 25 April 2009 at Wakefield Park and ended on 22 November at Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit after five rounds and fifteen races. The series was open to Group 3D Sports Sedans, Tran-Am automobles and New Zealand TraNZam automobiles. It marked the 19th running of a national series for Sports Sedans in Australia.

The 2009 Shannons V8 Touring Car National Series is the second running of the V8 Touring Car National Series. The series takes place on the program of Shannons Nationals Motor Racing Championships events. The series was won by South Australian driver Adam Wallis.

The 2010 Australian Drivers' Championship was a CAMS sanctioned national motor racing title with the championship winner receiving the 2010 CAMS Gold Star award. The 2010 championship was the 54th Australian Drivers' Championship and the sixth to be contested with open wheel racing cars constructed in accordance with FIA Formula 3 regulations. The season began on 7 March 2010 at the Wakefield Park and finished on 24 October at Sandown Raceway after seven rounds across four different states with three races at each round.

The 2010 Australian Sports Sedan season was the 26th season of Australian Sports Sedan motor racing in which a national championship or national series has been contested. The season featured the 2010 Kerrick Sports Sedan Series, which began on 6 March 2010 at Wakefield Park and ended on 24 October at Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit after fifteen races. The series was televised on SBS program SBS Speedweek.

The 2010 Fujitsu V8 Supercars Series was an Australian motor racing competition for V8 Supercars. It was the eleventh running of the V8 Supercar Development series. The series supported the 2010 V8 Supercar Championship Series, beginning on 11 March at the Clipsal 500 and ending on 5 December at the Sydney 500 after seven rounds.

The series took place on the program of Shannons Nationals Motor Racing Championships events. The Series began at Symmons Plains Raceway on 10 April and finished at Sandown Raceway on 24 October. Entries were hit hard in 2010 with just seven cars appearing across the opening two rounds and only three appearing at both of the first two events. Entries picked up after that, peaking at 14 cars at Winton.

The 2011 Kumho V8 Touring Car Series was an Australian motor racing series for V8 Touring Cars, which are de-registered and superseded former V8 Supercars. Although the series utilised cars built for V8 Supercar racing, it was not an official V8 Supercar series.

The 2012 Australian GT Championship was a CAMS sanctioned national motor racing championship open to GT style closed production based sports cars which were either approved by the FIA for GT3 competition or approved by CAMS as Australian GTs.

The 2014 Shannons Nationals Motor Racing Championships season was the ninth time that the Shannons Nationals Motor Racing Championships were held. The season began 28 March 2014 at Sandown Raceway and finished on 2 November 2014 at Sydney Motorsport Park.
