Janelle MonĂ¡e American singer and actress

Janelle Monáe Robinson is an American singer, songwriter, rapper, science-fiction author and actress. She is signed to Atlantic Records, as well as to her own imprint, the Wondaland Arts Society. Monáe has received eight Grammy Award nominations. Monáe won an MTV Video Music Award and the ASCAP Vanguard Award in 2010. Monáe was also honored with the Billboard Women in Music Rising Star Award in 2015 and the Trailblazer of the Year Award in 2018. In 2012, Monáe became a CoverGirl spokesperson. Boston City Council named October 16, 2013 "Janelle Monáe Day" in the city of Boston, Massachusetts, in recognition of her artistry and activism.

Lady Gaga received five nominations while Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, The Black Eyed Peas, Namie Amuro, Miliyah Kato, and Juju all received three nominations each.

The 2011 MTV Video Music Aid Japan were held in Chiba on June 25, 2011 at the Makuhari Messe. The VMAJ were the culmination of MTV Japan's Music of Hope campaign, the channel's multiplatform response to the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami. The 2011 awards were marked the ten-year anniversary of the MTV Video Music Awards Japan.

The awards were broadcast from the Staples Center arena at L.A. Live in Downtown Los Angeles. Nominations were announced on July 31, 2012. Tonight Im Getting Over You 2013 single by Carly Rae Jepsen

"Tonight I'm Getting Over You" is a song by Canadian singer Carly Rae Jepsen, taken from her second studio album and debut international release, Kiss (2012). It was released in the United States as a single on February 19, 2013, as the international fourth single from the album. An official remix featuring rapper Nicki Minaj was released on May 6, 2013. The song was written by Jepsen, Lukas Hilbert, Max Martin, Clarence Coffee Jr., Shiloh, and Katerina Loules. Thematically, the track centers around a break-up, with lyrics about getting over her ex-boyfriend by dancing with someone new. The song has some dubstep aspects. "Tonight I'm Getting Over You" received mostly positive reviews from music critics; some deemed it one of the best tracks on Kiss, as they did about Jepsen's claim to fame with "Call Me Maybe".

The 13th BET Awards were held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California on June 30, 2013. The awards ceremony recognized Americans in music, movies, sports and other fields of entertainment over the past year. Comedian and actor Chris Tucker hosted the event for the first time.

Neal H Pogue American record producer, engineer

Neal H Pogue is an American producer, audio engineer and mixer originally from Roselle, New Jersey, and based in Los Angeles. Pogue is a Grammy Award winner, having won for his engineering and mixing work on Outkast's Speakerboxxx/The Love Below (2004) – which won the Album of the Year category. Pogue has also produced for artists such as M.I.A, Nelly Furtado, Earth, Wind & Fire and has mixed for artists such as TLC, Pink, Nicki Minaj, Janelle Monáe, and Tyler, the Creator. Having engineered for TLC's Grammy nominated 11-time platinum single "Waterfalls", Pogue also arranged the horns on "Waterfalls" under the pseudonym "Shock". Pogue has gone on to work with many prominent names in music.

Chris Rock was unveiled as the host for the upcoming BET Awards on May 14 during the network's 106 & Park music video countdown show. Beyoncé lead the nominations with 6, followed by Jay-Z with 5. Drake, Pharrell Williams and August Alsina were tied for 4. Beyoncé was the big winner of the night winning 3 BET Awards, while Nicki Minaj, Drake, August Alsina and Pharrell Williams with 2.

The 2014 Soul Train Music Awards was held at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Centric and BET on November 30, 2014. The ceremony, hosted by media personality Wendy Williams, honored artists in 12 different categories. The nominees were announced October 13, 2014. R&B artist Chris Brown lead with seven nominations, including Best R&B/Soul Male Artist, Song of the Year, and Video of the Year. Sandaime J Soul Brothers

Sandaime J Soul Brothers, formerly simply J Soul Brothers and stylized as Sandaime J Soul Brothers from Exile Tribe, are a J-pop vocal and dance group formed by Exile ex-leader and producer Hiroyuki Igarashi in Japan in 1991. Sandaime J Soul Brothers are managed by Hiroyuki's talent agency LDH and are a part of the supergroup, Exile Tribe. Reformed exclusively by Exile's Vocal Battle Audition in 2010, Sandaime J Soul Brothers released their first single "Best Friend's Girl" in November 2010, which peaked at number three on the Oricon Singles Chart. Their self-titled debut album J Soul Brothers, released in 2011, also peaked at number three. In 2013, they achieved their first number-one record with their third album Miracle.

The song was written by Jess Glynne, Ed Sheeran, Minaj, and the song's producer Steve Mac, and features uncredited background vocals from Sheeran. The song was met with positive reviews from critics and is described as a girl power song.

"Boyz" is the debut solo single by English singer Jesy Nelson, featuring Trinidadian-born rapper Nicki Minaj. It was released on 8 October 2021, through Polydor Records, as the lead single from her upcoming debut album, set to be released in 2022. It was Nelson's first single to be released since leaving girl group Little Mix in 2020. The song received controversy surrounding allegations of blackfishing and cultural appropriation. It heavily interpolates American rapper Diddy's 2001 song "Bad Boy for Life" and lyrically, speaks of Nelson's infatuation with rebellious men. The song peaked at number four on the UK Singles Chart, and at number sixteen in Ireland.
