FINA Men's Water Polo World League seasons

The 2015 FINA Men's Water Polo World League is played between November 2014 and June 2015 and open to all men's water polo national teams. After participating in a preliminary round, eight teams qualify to play in a final tournament, called the Super Final in Bergamo, Italy from 23 to 28 June 2015. [1] [2]

Contents

In the world league, there are specific rules that do not allow matches to end in a draw. [2] If teams are level at the end of the 4th quarter of any world league match, the match will be decided by a penalty shootout. Teams earn points in the standings in group matches as follows:

Europe

Preliminary round

The European preliminary round consisted of two group of four teams and a third group of five teams. The winner of each group after the home and away series of games qualified for the Super Final.

The FINA Water Polo World League was an international water polo league organized by FINA, which played annually, typically from winter through to June. League play featured continental tournaments for men and women, from which the top teams emerged to play in the championship tournament where the league champion team is crowned.

The 2011 FINA Men's Water Polo World League was the tenth edition of the annual event, organised by the world's governing body in aquatics, the FINA. The 2022 FINA Men's Water Polo World League was the 20th edition of the annual men's international water polo tournament.

The 2023 Men's FINA Water Polo World Cup was the 17th edition of the tournament. It will run from 8 March to 2 July 2023. The Super final will take place between 30 June and 2 July 2023 in Los Angeles, United States.
