The 2018 IHF Super Globe was the twelfth edition of the tournament. It was held in Doha, Qatar at the Duhail Handball Sports Hall from 16 to 19 October 2018. [2]

In a rematch of last year's final, Barcelona won their fourth title after a 29–24 final win over Berlin. [3]

Teams

The best club of each continent through their tournaments, the defending champion, a host team and a wild card team participated. Hammamat participated because the winner of the 2017 African Champions League (Zamalek) refused to participate for political reasons. The runner up (Espérance Tunis) was denied for not participating in the previous 2 African Champions League. The 3rd place (Al Ahly), who was from Egypt, refused to participate for political reasons.

The 2015 World Men's Handball Championship was the 24th staging of the World Men's Handball Championship, organised by the International Handball Federation (IHF). The final tournament was held for the first time in Qatar, from 15 January to 1 February 2015. Zamalek qualified to the IHF Super Globe, the most prestigious handball club tournament of the International Handball Federation (IHF), 6 times, but withdrew 1 time and participated 5 times, with these 5 participations, Zamalek is the most participating African team in the IHF Super Globe, and the 5th most participating team in the history of the tournament. As with all African clubs, the club qualifies through winning the African Handball Champions League, or the African Handball Super Cup. Zamalek had their best achievement in the IHF Super Globe when they won a bronze medal in 2010. In their 5 participations, Zamalek has never placed lower than 5th place.

‌The 2023 IHF Men's Super Globe was the 17th edition of the yearly club world championship in handball, held from 7 to 12 November 2023 in Dammam, Saudi Arabia under the aegis of the International Handball Federation (IHF). It was the fourth time in history that the event was organised by the Saudi Arabian Handball Federation.
