The 2021 IIHF World Championship Division IV was scheduled to be an international ice hockey tournament run by the International Ice Hockey Federation.

Contents

The tournament would have been held in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan from 3 to 5 March 2021. [1]

On 18 November 2020, the tournament was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. [2]

Malaysia, Philippines, Iran and Singapore were all scheduled to debut in the world championships.

The 2020 Ice Hockey World Junior Championships was the 44th edition of the Ice Hockey World Junior Championship. The 2022 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships were the 46th edition of the IIHF World Junior Championship, played from August 9–20, 2022 at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Qualification for the women's tournament at the 2022 Winter Olympics was determined by the IIHF World Ranking following the 2020 Women's Ice Hockey World Championships. The host along with the top six teams in the world ranking received automatic berths into the Olympics, while all other teams had an opportunity to qualify for the remaining three spots in the Olympics.

For each tier's tournament, the team which placed first was promoted to the next highest division, while the team which placed last was relegated to a lower division.
