The 2022 Formula Regional Indian Championship was meant to be the first multi-event, Formula Regional open-wheel single seater motor racing championship held across India. This would have been the inaugural season of the championship, and also the first FIA-sanctioned championship held in India, together with its support series, the F4 Indian Championship. [1]

Teams and drivers

Drivers would have been competing with Alfa Romeo-powered Tatuus F3 T-318 cars run by Prema Powerteam. [2]

Race calendar

The original 2022 calendar was announced on 19 August 2021, planned to be held over five three-race weekends in February and March of 2022. [2] However, in January 2022, the season was postponed until November because of the pandemic's resurgence.

In March of 2022, a new provisional calendar was announced. [3]

After months without communication from official places, the season was cancelled in late October. [4]

The 2023 F4 Indian Championship was the inaugural season of the F4 Indian Championship. It was a motor racing championship for open wheel, formula racing cars regulated according to FIA Formula 4 regulations. Initially, the series was planned to launch in 2022, before being postponed multiple times and then finally rescheduled to 2023. The season commenced on 4 November at the Madras International Circuit and concluded on 17 December at the same circuit.

The 2023 Formula 4 UAE Championship was the seventh season of the Formula 4 UAE Championship, a motor racing series for the United Arab Emirates regulated according to FIA Formula 4 regulations, and organised and promoted by the Emirates Motorsport Organization (EMSO) and Top Speed.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Hyderabad Street Circuit</span> Motorsport track in India

Hyderabad Street Circuit is a 2.835 km (1.762 mi) street circuit laid out on the city streets of Hyderabad, Telangana, India. The track will be set up in and around the Secretariat Complex and will go through Lumbini Park, situated on the banks of Hussain Sagar Lake. The Hyderabad ePrix is staged on the circuit in 2023. It was first held as part of the 2022–23 Formula E World Championship season and was the first Formula E race to be held in the country.
