The 2023 T20I Nordic Cup was a men's Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket tournament that was played in Denmark in May 2023. [1] [2] The quadrangular tournament was contested by Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. [3] Denmark's last two fixtures were played as non-T20I matches. [4]

The Ireland cricket team toured India during March 2017 to play five One Day Internationals (ODIs), three Twenty20 International (T20Is) and an ICC Intercontinental Cup match against Afghanistan. All the matches were played at the Greater Noida Sports Complex Ground, Greater Noida. Afghanistan won the T20I series 3–0 and the ODI series 3–2. The Ireland cricket team toured India in February and March 2019 to play three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is), five One Day Internationals (ODIs) and a Test match against the Afghanistan cricket team. It was Ireland's first Test played overseas and the first Test match between the two sides. All of the fixtures took place at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Dehradun. The ODI fixtures were part of Afghanistan's preparation for the 2019 Cricket World Cup. In January 2019, the fixtures were brought forward by two days, to avoid clashing with the Indian Premier League.

The 2019 T20 Kwacha Cup was a men's Twenty20 International/women's Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket event between the men's and women's national cricket teams of Malawi and Mozambique. Both the men's and women's series consisted of seven T20I matches played between 6 and 10 November 2019 in Blantyre and Lilongwe, Malawi. The venue for the first four men's T20I matches was the Lilongwe Golf Club in Lilongwe, and these were followed by two matches at Indian Sports Club and one match at Saint Andrews International High School in Blantyre. All of the women's T20I matches were played at Saint Andrews International High School. Malawi won the men's series 5–1, and the women's series 4–3.

The 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier was a cricket tournament that was played as part of qualification process for the 2022 ICC Men's T20 World Cup, during October and November 2021.

The series formed part of Denmark's preparation for the 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Europe Qualifier, together with a tour of the Netherlands later in August to face Netherlands A. This series was the first international action with the Swedish national team for their coach, former South African international cricketer Jonty Rhodes. Denmark won the series 2–1. Sweden followed the series with another in Finland.

The Sierra Leone cricket team toured Nigeria in October 2021 to play six Twenty20 International (T20I) matches at the University of Lagos (Unilag) Cricket Oval in the Akoka suburb of Lagos. The series provided both sides with preparation for the T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier in November 2021. The series also saw a resumption of the long-running cricketing rivalry between the two north-west African nations.

The England cricket team toured Pakistan in September and October 2022 to play seven Twenty20 International (T20I) matches as a preparatory series before the 2022 ICC Men's T20 World Cup. The 2022 Germany Tri-Nation Series was a Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket tournament that was held in Germany from 9 to 12 June 2022. The participating teams were the hosts Germany, along with Austria and Sweden, and all matches were played at the Bayer Uerdingen Cricket Ground in Krefeld.

The 2022 Women's T20I Nordic Cup was a Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket tournament that was held in Kolsva, Sweden, from 27 to 29 May 2022. The participants were the hosts Sweden, along with Denmark and Norway- with Denmark playing their first official women's T20I matches. On the penultimate day of the tournament, Sweden won the Nordic Cup, after they beat Denmark by 71 runs and Norway won their match, also against Denmark, by 34 runs.

The 2022–23 ICC Men's T20 World Cup East Asia-Pacific Qualifier was a cricket tournament that formed part of the qualification process for the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup. The first stage of the qualification pathway in the East Asia-Pacific (EAP) region consisted of two sub-regional qualifiers: Qualifier A in Vanuatu in September 2022, and Qualifier B in Japan in October 2022.

The 2023 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Americas Qualifier was a cricket tournament that formed part of the qualification process for the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup. The first stage of the qualification pathway in the Americas region was the sub-regional qualifier, played in Argentina between 25 February and 4 March 2023. The top three teams in the sub-regional qualifier progressed to the Americas regional final, which was played in Bermuda between 30 September and 7 October 2023, where they were joined by Canada, who competed in the 2022 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Global Qualifier A in Oman. The winner of the Americas Regional Final qualified for the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup. The West Indies and the United States, qualified for the World Cup as hosts.

The 2023 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier was a cricket tournament that formed part of the qualification process for the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup.

The 2022 Spain Women's Pentangular Series was a women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) cricket tournament held in Spain from 11 to 14 November 2022. The participants were the women's national sides of Spain, Italy, Norway, Sweden and Isle of Man. The Isle of Man played their first official WT20I matches in the tournament.

The 2023 ICC Women's T20 World Cup Europe Qualifier was a cricket tournament that formed part of the qualification process for the 2024 ICC Women's T20 World Cup. In an expanded qualification pathway for women's cricket in Europe, this was the first time that a second division was included. The first stage of the tournament was Division Two, held in Jersey in May and June 2023. Six teams played in Division Two, with the top two sides progressing to Division One, which was played in Spain in September 2023. The top two teams in Division One advanced to the 2024 ICC Women's T20 World Cup Qualifier along with Ireland, Sri Lanka and six other regional qualifiers.
