The 2024 Porsche Carrera Cup Asia is the twenty-first season of the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia. The season is set to commence on 19 April at the Shanghai International Circuit, and conclude at the same venue on 27 October. [1]

The Chinese Grand Prix is a round of the Formula One World Championship. The event was held every year from 2004 until 2019 and is contracted to be held until 2025. The event was suspended from 2020 to 2023 due to the COVID-19 pandemic in China.

Porsche Carrera Cup is a number of one-make racing by Porsche premier series competed with, initially Porsche 911 Carrera Cup, then later Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars. The cars are specifically built by Porsche for one-make racing, with each vehicle identical to those of its generation.
Porsche Carrera Cup Australia is an Australian motor racing series open to Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars. First held in 2003, it is administered by Porsche Cars Australia Pty Ltd and is sanctioned by Motorsport Australia as a national championship through to 2015 and as a National Series from 2016-2021. Starting in 2022 the category returned back as a national championship. During its history, Carrera Cup has been a leading support category for the Supercars Championship. New Zealand driver Craig Baird has been the most successful driver, winning the series five times.
The Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain is a multi-event one-make motor racing series that takes place in the United Kingdom for the Porsche 911 GT3. Being the fastest and most successful single marque GT championship in the UK, the Carrera Cup is now entering its nineteenth season. With over 30.000 visitors attending the majority of the races and approximately 370.000 visitors over the duration of the season, the championship is fully integrated in the international Porsche Motorsport program. Notable drivers in the championship have been two-time Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup winner Richard Westbrook and Supercup race winner Damien Faulkner.

Ren Wei is a Chinese businessman and racing driver who currently competes in the FIA GT1 World Championship for Exim Bank Team China Porsche. Ren entered motorsports in 2010 with the China Formula Grand Prix open wheel series before progressing to the Chinese Volkswagen Scirocco R-Cup in 2011. In 2012 Ren debuted in international racing with the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia, before being signed by Mühlner Motorsport for the FIA GT1 World Championship as part of the Exim Bank Team China squad. Ren is the second Chinese driver in the GT1 series after Ho-Pin Tung, and the first natural-born Chinese to participate.

Matteo Cairoli is an Italian racing driver who currently competes in the IMSA SportsCar Championship and European Le Mans Series for Iron Lynx, having previously competed in the FIA World Endurance Championship. He is a Lamborghini factory driver, and the 2014 Porsche Carrera Cup Italia champion.
Alessio Rovera is an Italian racing driver. He is a Ferrari factory driver and currently competes in the FIA World Endurance Championship with AF Corse.
Nazim Azman is a Malaysian racing driver who competes in the 2024 Porsche Carrera Cup Asia for Sime Darby Racing Team. He previously competed in the FIA Formula 3 Championship with Hitech Grand Prix. He is a race winner in BRDC Formula 3 and the Euroformula Open Championship.
