The 2024 season will be the San Francisco 49ers' upcoming 75th in the National Football League (NFL), their 79th overall, their eleventh playing their home games at Levi's Stadium and their eighth under the head coach/general manager tandem of Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch. They will enter the season as defending NFC Champions. This will be the team's first season since 2014 without defensive tackle Arik Armstead on the roster, as he was released on March 13.
