Alex Price (born 8 May 1985) is a British actor who has appeared in various television programmes including Being Human , Merlin and Doctor Who . [1] He starred in feature-length films, such as A Horse with No Name , and in a variety of short films. [2]

Since 2013, he has played Sid Carter, one of the main characters in the television series Father Brown . [3] Price was praised by critics for his performance of Proteus in the television series Penny Dreadful . [4] [5] [6] [7] He has appeared in a vast number of stage productions like Is Everyone OK? (Nabokov Touring Project), Colourings (Old Red Lion), The Duchess of Malfi (National Theatre Studio), and Birdland (Royal Court Theatre). [8] In 2016, he was cast as Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter play, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child . Most recently he appeared in The Capture , a BBC drama about deep fake technology.

Personal life

Alex Price has a younger sister and is married and has a son (2011). [9]

Penny Dreadful is a horror drama television series created for Showtime and Sky by John Logan, who also acts as executive producer alongside Sam Mendes. The show was originally pitched to several US and UK channels, and eventually landed with Showtime, with Sky Atlantic as co-producer. It premiered at the South by Southwest film festival on March 9 and began airing on television on April 28, 2014, on Showtime on Demand. The series premiered on Showtime in the United States on May 11, 2014, and on Sky Atlantic in the United Kingdom on May 20, 2014. After the third-season finale on June 19, 2016, series creator John Logan announced that Penny Dreadful had ended as the main story had reached its conclusion.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is a play written by Jack Thorne from an original story written by J. K. Rowling, Thorne and John Tiffany. The story is set nineteen years after the events of the 2007 novel Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by Rowling. It follows Albus Severus Potter, son of Harry Potter, who is now Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement at the Ministry of Magic. When Albus arrives at Hogwarts, he gets sorted into Slytherin, and fails to live up to his father's legacy, making him resentful of his father. Rowling has referred to the play as "the eighth Harry Potter story".
