Allan Lopez Rellon (born May 5,1969) is a Filipino politician who is currently serving as the vice mayor of Tagum since 2022. He previously served as the mayor of Tagum from 2013 to 2022. [1] And previously served as vice mayor of Tagum from 2004 to 2013. [2] He was also the Secretary-General of the Vice Mayor's League of the Philippines. [3] Rellon was named the Best Reserve Officer of the Philippine Army Reserve Command in 2009 and is currently on the board of directors of the University of Mindanao Tagum College. [4] [5]
During his younger years,Rellon was an active boy scout and was awarded the rank of Eagle Scout (Boy Scouts of the Philippines),the highest rank awarded to a Senior Scout in the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) and a member of the Eagle Scout Association of the Philippines. Currently,he is the 1st Vice-Council Chairman of the BSP Tagum City Associate Council and the Regional Scout Commissioner of the BSP Eastern Mindanao Region. He is a Wood Badge graduate and currently a 4 beads holder and Leader Trainer. He is also a member of the Association of Top Achiever Scouts of Asia Pacific Region [6] (Asia-Pacific Scout Region),now known as ATAS World,which is a member (BP Fellow) of the World Scout Foundation.

His parents are Mr. Nicanor Tampipi Rellon,a retired Tagum Municipal agriculturist and Mrs. Lucia Antalan Lopez-Rellon,a retired master teacher. He has a Bachelor of Science in education ( magna cum laude ),Master of Arts in education (Academic),Master in Public Administration with a major in Government Administration,and Doctor of Philosophy in Development Studies (Academic). He finished his Doctor of Public Administration (DPA) at Southwestern University (Philippines) in Cebu City. His career has progressed from a humble beginning as a sales boy to utility worker,teacher and college administrator. Rellon entered government service in 1993 where he became the Administrator of Tagum. He is known for his good and dynamic leadership as an Administrator thus Tagum people supported him when he sought for public office as City Councilor in 1998.[ citation needed ]
For six years as a city councilor,Rellon introduced ordinances and resolutions for the city. Including the implementation and expansion of the "Education For All" program like the Sulong-Dunong,City Educational Scholarship Program-now known as CIVOTESPRO [7] Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES) [8] Day Care Program,NFE,Cultural Communities for Muslims and Lumad peoples,Skills Trainings,A&E-Balik Paaralan para sa Out of School Adults. Rellon undertook international studies,training and exposures on governance and leadership in other countries including Germany,Japan,China,Thailand,Singapore and Switzerland. He has been a resource speaker in governance,and provided teaching,lectures and workshops on leadership,parliamentary procedure,team building and legislative processes to the youth and adult leaders of the city.
The Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) is the national scouting organization of the Philippines in the World Organization of the Scout Movement. The Scout movement was first introduced in the Philippines on 1910 during the American Occupation. It was "granted Recognition as a Member Organisation of the Boy Scouts International Conference...with effect from October 31,1936" by virtue of certification signed by J. S. Wilson,Olave Baden-Powell,and Daniel Spry.
Eagle Scout is the highest rank awarded to a Senior Scout in the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP). To be awarded the rank,a Scout must lead in planning and doing two community service projects and earn a total of 23 merit badges consisting of 17 required merit badges and 2 specialist ratings. After achieving the rank of Eagle,a Scout may earn an Anahaw award for earning 2 additional specialist ratings.

Don Gabriel A. Daza,KGCR,KC*SS was the first Filipino electrical engineer and one of the charter members of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP). He co-founded the Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT),Philippine Telegraph and Telephone Co. (PT&T),Philippine Electric Manufacturing Company (PEMCO),Phelps Dodge Philippines. He was the supervising engineer and assistant general manager of Visayan Electric Company (VECO) and led its expansion out of Cebu City. President and chief scout of the BSP in 1961–68. In 1945,President Osmeña appointed Daza to be a member of the board of directors of the Manila Railroad Company and the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office. In 1950,he was vice-chairman of the National Power Corporation and on the board of directors of the Manila Hotel Company. In 1951,Daza was appointed by President Quirino as a founding member of the board of directors of the National Shipyard and Steel Corporation. President and director of the National Economic Protection Agency (NEPA) in 1956.
Erwin "Pastor" Emata is a mountain climber and a runner from the Philippines. In 2006,he became the second Filipino to climb Mount Everest. His achievement was recognized by then Philippine President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo when she conferred Emata with the Order of Lakandula with the special class of Champion for Life.
Angelo Tomas Reyes also known as General Reyes,was a Filipino retired general and politician who served as the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of Staff from 2000 to 2001 under President Joseph Estrada. At the height of the 2001 EDSA Revolution,Reyes withdrew his support for Estrada,which led to the installation of Vice President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo as president,under whom he then served as Cabinet Secretary until 2010. He also served under Arroyo as Secretary of the Departments of the Interior and Local Government,Environment and Natural Resources,Energy,and National Defense.

The Mindanao Railway,previously known as the Trans-Mindanao High Speed Railway,is a proposed inter-city rail system in Mindanao,the southernmost major island of the Philippines. Originally proposed in 1936 as part of Manuel L. Quezon's efforts to strengthen the presence of Commonwealth government in Mindanao against the rising influence of Imperial Japan before World War II,the line was shelved. Other proposals and studies were made in the 1950s,1990s,and the 2000s,but never materialized. The current line began development in 2018,with construction set to begin in late 2021. It will be initially built as a single-track standard gauge system to be operated by diesel-powered rolling stock,but will have provisions for upgrading to double-track and electrification through overhead lines.
The National Eagle Scouts Association of the Philippines otherwise known as the “NESAPh”is the Premiere Honor Society of Eagle Scouts in the Philippines. It is a voluntary,non-political,non-sectarian and non-profit association of Eagle Scouts supporting the causes of Scouting and the thrusts of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines in accordance with the ideals,purpose and principles,and methods conceived by the Founder of Scouting.
