Blackburn Point Bridge

The Blackburn Point Bridge is a historic swing bridge located near Osprey, Florida, United States, that is listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. It is a one-lane swing bridge located on Blackburn Point Road at the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway. It is the northernmost of the two bridges connecting the barrier island Casey Key to the mainland of Florida.

History

The bridge was constructed by the Champion Bridge Company and opened to traffic in December 1926. [3] It contains port and starboard signals along the north truss of the bridge.

The bridge was added to the National Register on March 29, 2001. [2]

The Crisp Building is a historic office building located at 1970 Main St. in Sarasota, Florida. The T. H. Crisp Company, a developer led by Thomas H. Crisp, constructed the building in 1926. The Crisp Company built many of Sarasota's homes and residential developments in the 1920s and 1930s. The building has also served as a meeting hall for Sarasota's chapter of the Loyal Order of Moose. The building was designed in the Mediterranean Revival style and is one of the best-preserved examples of the style in downtown Sarasota.
