Blue Chips 2 is the second collaborative mixtape by the American rapper Action Bronson and the producer Party Supplies. It was released for free on November 1, 2013, by Vice Records. This is the sequel to their collaborative mixtape, Blue Chips, released on March 12, 2012.

Blue Chips 2 was met with generally positive reviews from music critics. Jordan Sargent of Pitchfork Media wrote, "It is just a whole lot of fun. Bronson, for whatever reason, only seems to hit this note with Party Supplies in his back pocket. But when he does, his music is not only a blast, but undeniably distinctive." [4] Sheldon Pearce of XXL gave it an "XL" rating saying, "On his latest effort, Action Bronson proves that sequels don’t always fall short of marks set by lofty expectations; in fact, sometimes they outperform their predecessor. From the outset, you know what this is: Blue Chips 2 is a depiction of immeasurable leisure and implausible overindulgence sold not as truth, but as pure entertainment." [8]
Aaron Matthews of Exclaim! said, "Nonetheless whether rapping over "Tequila" ("Pepe Lopez") or a host of '80s radio classics ("Contemporary Man") Bronson displays a sense of joy rarely heard in rap these days. The portly spitter is clearly in his zone here, and the highlights are high; from the hazy acoustic funk of "Midget Cough" or the glorious horns of "Twin Peugeots." [2] Steven Goldstein of HipHopDX deemed the mixtape a "free-album" saying, "Blue Chips 2 is unfiltered and incongruous, just what we’ve come to expect from Hip Hop’s unexpected." [3]
Brandon Soderberg of Spin said, "consistency is the name of the game right now: Every merely good-to-great release keeps the blogs intrigued and the tour dates coming. So yeah, here's Blue Chips 2, once again juggling foodie poetry with hyper-specific sports references, and further pushing his Scorsese-bit-player-mook mentality that's trashy, yet kind of classy." Spin ranked Blue Chips 2 number 13 on its list of the 40 best hip hop albums of 2013. They said,
Bronson is clearly at his giddy best when producer Party Supplies throws his iPod on shuffle and flings it into the punchbowl, picking samples that stagger across the lines between "nostalgic," "kitschy," and "I can't even." He loops "Island Girl" of all the Elton John songs in the world; there's whatever banging-on-seashells Sebastian kiddie-calypso is anchoring "It's Me"; and how did we survive a whole subgenre of Solo Cup–toting "frat rap" without someone going full Bluto Blutarsky and just rapping over "Tequila"? Complex positioned it at number 17 on its list of the 50 best albums of 2013, commenting,
Blue Chips 2 feels like a way for Action to reestablish his brand before the end of 2013—as well as drum up interest for his official debut album in 2014. The project teams Action up again with Party Supplies, after the duo worked wonders for each other last year with the prequel to this project. Action sounds overjoyed about the reunion. Blue Chips 2 is an album so fun it makes us realize how grim so much music in 2013 has been. [10]
Rolling Stone named it the second best mixtape of 2013, saying,
Queens' best ever ex-chef rapper of Albanian descent broke through with last year's Blue Chips and though its sequel could never be quite as revelatory, it did affirm the singularity of the music created by Action Bronson and his production partner, Party Supplies. On Blue Chips 2, they use segments of hits by Tracy Chapman, The Champs, Phil Collins and a host of similarly counterintuitive others as the foundations for Bronson's madcap adventure plots. This is a mixtape as vivid as your favorite cable drama. [11]
Blue Chips 2 was named the fourth best mixtape of 2013 by XXL , which wrote,
He's out here rapping on top of songs that you wouldn't think anyone would be able to rap over, and he's bringing his grimy and hilarious worldview with him. Bronson’s made it a habit to dedicate entire projects to working with one producer—Harry Fraud, Alchemist—and the connection with Party Supplies might be his strongest. At the very least, it's his most entertaining. [12]
Consequence of Sound positioned it at number 28 on its list of the best 50 albums of 2013, saying,
It's rare for a sequel to top the original in any series, but with Blue Chips 2, Action Bronson and Party Supplies did just that, putting out a 19-track mixtape that exhibits the versatility of both artists in an ocean of obscure and entertaining samples and beats. Alan Daniel Maman, professionally known as the Alchemist, is an American record producer, DJ, rapper and songwriter. He began his music career in 1991 in the hip hop duo the Whooliganz under the moniker Mudfoot, along with now-actor Scott Caan. He has produced music since the 1990s.
Slaughterhouse was an American hip hop supergroup consisting of rappers Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz, Crooked I and Royce da 5'9". They released their eponymous debut studio album independently in 2009, and signed to Shady Records, an imprint of Interscope Records to release it's follow up, Welcome to: Our House in 2012. The group disbanded in 2018.
Daniel Domingo Carrillo, better known by his stage name Termanology, is an American rapper and record producer. He first gained major attention with the 2006 single "Watch How It Go Down". A solo album, Politics as Usual, was released in 2008. He has made a number of collaborative albums, such as 1982 and is known also for his prolific mixtape output. He is of Puerto Rican and French descent.
Ariyan Arslani, professionally known as Action Bronson, is an American rapper, songwriter, chef, wrestler, and television presenter. Born and raised in Queens, New York, he released his debut mixtape Bon Appetit ..... Bitch!!!!! in January 2011 and independently released his debut album, Dr. Lecter, in March 2011. In August 2012, Arslani signed his first major-label deal with Warner Bros. Records, but was later moved to the Atlantic Records-distributed label Vice Records.
Rich Forever is the second mixtape by American rapper Rick Ross. It was released on January 6, 2012. It became one of the most downloaded hip hop mixtapes of all time. Dreamchasers 2 is the ninth mixtape by American rapper Meek Mill. It was released on May 7, 2012, by Maybach Music Group and Warner Bros. Records, and also released for digital download on DatPiff. It serves as the second installment in the Dreamchasers series, following Dreamchasers (2011). The mixtape features guest appearances from American rappers Travis Scott, Rick Ross, Fabolous, French Montana, Wale, Big Sean, Kendrick Lamar, Mac Miller, 2 Chainz and Canadian rapper Drake – along with singing vocals by Jeremih, Trey Songz and Jordanne; as well as production that was provided by Jahlil Beats, SAP, All Star, Cardiak, Reginald Smith, and Jesse Wilson, among others. Horst Christian Simco, better known by his stage name Riff Raff, is an American rapper from Katy, Texas. He was originally managed by Swishahouse co-founder OG Ron C in 2011. After initially signing with rapper Soulja Boy's record label Stacks on Deck Entertainment, Riff Raff signed to producer Diplo's Mad Decent to release his debut album, Neon Icon (2014).
Watching Movies with the Sound Off is the second studio album by American rapper Mac Miller. It was released June 18, 2013, by Rostrum Records. The album continued his changes in musical sound that began with the mixtape Macadelic. Miller described the album as very introspective and very personal. It features guest appearances from Earl Sweatshirt, Ab-Soul, Action Bronson, Schoolboy Q, and Tyler, the Creator, among others. Production was handled primarily by Miller himself among others such as Diplo, Tyler, the Creator, Flying Lotus, The Alchemist, Clams Casino, Earl Sweatshirt, J. Hill, Chuck Inglish, and Pharrell Williams.

Rory William Quigley, known professionally as Harry Fraud, is an American record producer. Primarily a hip hop producer, Fraud began producing at an early age and began interning at a recording studio after graduating high school. First discovered by French Montana during a recording session in Chinatown in early 2009, Fraud has gone on to become a fixture in the New York underground and mixtape scene. He gained mainstream attention when his song with French Montana "Shot Caller" became one of the most added tracks on urban contemporary radio during 2011–2012.
Sudan Ameer Williams, better known by his stage name Iamsu!, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter and record producer. He is also a part of the production team The Invasion and lead member of the hip hop group the HBK Gang. Iamsu! has released numerous mixtapes in his career including Suzy 6 Speed, Million Dollar Afro, and the Kilt series. He is also known for featuring on LoveRance's "Up!", E-40's "Function", and Sage the Gemini's "Gas Pedal". His debut album Sincerely Yours was released in 2014.
B4.Da.$$ is the debut studio album by American rapper Joey Badass. It was released on January 20, 2015, his 20th birthday, by Cinematic Music Group and Relentless Records. The album was released in North America and United Kingdom, as well as being made available for digital download on iTunes.
Saaab Stories is the second extended play (EP) by American rapper Action Bronson. The EP was released on June 11, 2013, and is entirely produced by American record producer Harry Fraud. The EP, which was released by Vice and Atlantic Records, serves as Bronson's major label debut project. It features guest appearances from fellow American rappers Wiz Khalifa, Prodigy and Raekwon.

Connor has released various mixtapes and an album effort during his career including the Jay-Z inspired The Blue Album, and the Eminem inspired The People's Rapper LP. His debut studio album, Unconscious State was released in 2013. Shortly thereafter, he was signed to Dr. Dre's Aftermath Entertainment from 2013 to 2019, where he did not release an album. "Baby Blue" is a song by American rapper Action Bronson with a guest appearance from fellow rapper Chance the Rapper. It was released on March 3, 2015 by Atlantic and Vice as the fourth and final single from his second album Mr. Wonderful (2015). It was co-written by both artists, along with Zane Lowe, who did a punch-up to the chorus, and Mark Ronson, who also produced the song. A breakup song, "Baby Blue" ends a three-part suite started by "City Boy Blues" and "A Light in the Addict" that is preluded by the album's interlude, "Thug Love Story 2017 The Musical".
