The Bahrain national football team represents Bahrain in international football and is controlled by the Bahrain Football Association, which was founded in 1951 and joined FIFA in 1966. They have never reached the World Cup, but have twice come within one match of doing so. Bahrain won the FIFA's most improved team award in 2004, and finished fourth in the 2004 Asian Cup, beating Uzbekistan in the quarter-finals but losing to Japan in the semi-finals 4–3. Bahrain then lost to Iran in the third-place match, thus finishing in fourth place overall. Bahrain had a golden year in 2019, winning both the WAFF Championship and the Arabian Gulf Cup for the first time, under the stewardship of Hélio Sousa.
The Brunei national football team, nicknamed Tebuan, is the national team of Brunei, controlled by the Football Association of Brunei Darussalam. The team was founded in 1959 and joined FIFA in 1969. In the past, they have also frequently featured in the Malaysian league and cup competitions as one of the state representative sides.
The 2006 FIFA World Cup qualification competition was a series of tournaments organised by the six FIFA confederations. Each confederation – the AFC (Asia), CAF (Africa), CONCACAF, CONMEBOL, OFC (Oceania), and UEFA (Europe) – was allocated a certain number of the 32 places at the tournament. A total of 197 teams entered the qualification process for the 2006 FIFA World Cup. In 2001 FIFA ended automatic qualification of the reigning champion, so that 2002 champions Brazil became first to participate in the qualifying tournament. The hosts (Germany) retained their automatic spot.
The AFC Cup is an annual continental club football competition organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). Under its current rules, the competition is played primarily between clubs from nations that did not receive direct qualifying slots in the top-tier AFC Champions League, based on the AFC Club Competitions Ranking.
The AFC Futsal Asian Cup, previously the AFC Futsal Championship, is the premier international futsal competition for the Asian Football Confederation national teams. It was first held in 1999 and was played annually until 2008; since then it has been played biennially. From 2021, the tournament was rebranded from the AFC Futsal Championship to the AFC Futsal Asian Cup. It is also the qualification for the FIFA Futsal World Cup.
The Thailand national under-23 football team, also known as the Thailand Olympic football team, is the national team for the under-23 and 22 level, representing Thailand in international football competitions in the Olympic Games, Asian Games and Southeast Asian Games, as well as any other under-23 international football tournaments including the AFC U-23 Championship. It is controlled by the Football Association of Thailand.
The Turkmenistan national futsal team represents Turkmenistan in international futsal competitions and is controlled by the Football Federation of Turkmenistan.
The Hong Kong national futsal team represents Hong Kong during international futsal competitions. It is under the direction of the Hong Kong Football Association. The national team was first formed in 1992 due to the 1992 FIFA Futsal World Championship being held in Hong Kong.
The Qatar national futsal team represents Qatar in international futsal competitions. It has only qualified for three AFC Futsal Championships.
The Philippines national futsal team represents the Philippines in various international futsal competitions under the Philippine Football Federation and is affiliated with the Asian Football Confederation.

Lance Corporal Haji Mohammad Yusof bin Haji Matyassin is a Bruneian former footballer who played as a defender. He had a one-year stint with Brunei's sole professional club DPMM FC in 2014. He is currently the coach of MS ABDB.
Jefry bin Mohammad is a Bruneian retired footballer who played as a goalkeeper for the Brunei M-League representative team.
Haji Mohammad Yunos bin Haji Mohammad Yusof is a Bruneian former national football player and current futsal coach. He was once a goalkeeper renowned for his superb agility and dexterity during his time with the Brunei representative team playing in the Malaysia leagues, and he ended his career on a high by winning the 1999 Malaysia Cup.
The 2020 AFC Cup was an abandoned season of the AFC Cup which would have been the 17th edition of the competition, Asia's secondary club football tournament organized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).
