Cade is an unincorporated community in Bryan County, Oklahoma, United States. [1] It is in northeastern Bryan County and had a post office from April 1, 1903, until October 31, 1915. Cade was named after Cassius M. Cade, a territorial political leader. [2] At the time of its founding Cade was located in Jackson County, Choctaw Nation.

As of the 2010 census, the MSA had a population of 120,877. The Sherman–Denison MSA is a component of the Dallas-Ft. Worth combined statistical area, which covers a 19-county area and had an estimated population of 8,057,796 as of July 1, 2009. Hunter served as the Secretary of State of Oklahoma from 1999 to 2002, having been appointed by Governor of Oklahoma Frank Keating. On November 1, 2016, he was appointed to the same post by Governor Mary Fallin. He also served as Special Counsel to the Governor. On February 20, 2017, Hunter was appointed Attorney General of Oklahoma to replace Scott Pruitt who resigned to become the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency. On November 8, 2018, Hunter won election as Attorney General.

Brown is an unincorporated community in Bryan County, Oklahoma, United States. It is located 13 miles northwest of Durant. Brown had a post office from July 3, 1913 until July 15, 1927. It was named after its first postmaster, Robert H. Brown.

The 1920 United States Senate election in Oklahoma took place on November 2, 1920. Incumbent Democratic Senator Thomas Gore ran for re-election to a third term. However, he was defeated in the Democratic primary by Congressman Scott Ferris. In the general election, Ferris faced fellow Congressman John W. Harreld, the Republican nominee. Likely helped by Republican presidential nominee Warren G. Harding's victory in Oklahoma over Democratic nominee James M. Cox, Harreld defeated Ferris by a similar margin to Harding's.
