DNCE is an American dance-rock band consisting of lead singer Joe Jonas, drummer Jack Lawless, and guitarist JinJoo Lee. Bassist and keyboardist Cole Whittle was a part of the band from when it started in 2015 to when it went on hiatus in 2018. DNCE's music is mainly dance-rock, dance-pop, pop rock, and funk-pop. The band signed with Republic Records, who gave them a record deal to release their debut single, "Cake by the Ocean", which was released on September 18, 2015. The song reached the top 10 on several charts, including on the US Billboard Hot 100, where it peaked at number nine. Their debut extended play (EP), Swaay, was released on October 23, 2015. Their self-titled debut studio album was released on November 18, 2016. Their second EP, People to People, was released on June 15, 2018. They were also nominated for Favorite New Artist for the 2016 Kids' Choice Awards and Best Song to Lip Sync and Best Anthem for the 2016 Radio Disney Music Awards. The group performed at the 2017 Fashion Meets Music Festival. In February 2022, DNCE returned after their hiatus with a collaboration with Kygo titled "Dancing Feet". The band went back on hiatus in mid-2023.

Swaay is the debut extended play by American band DNCE. It was released through Republic Records on October 23, 2015. Consisting of four songs, two were produced by Mattman & Robin and two were produced by Ilya. The EP was supported by two singles, "Cake by the Ocean" and "Toothbrush".

The discography of American band DNCE consists of one studio album, two extended plays, eight singles, and other album appearances. The group released their debut single, "Cake by the Ocean", on September 18, 2015. Though starting out slow, the song went on to become a success in numerous territories, peaking at number 9 on the Billboard Hot 100, and at number 7 on the Canadian Hot 100. The group released their debut extended play, Swaay, on October 23, 2015. The four-track album received a generally positive critical reception upon its release, with Entertainment Weekly writing that it "splits the difference between [Joe's] former band’s slick power pop and the electro-kissed pop stylings of his solo album." They have sold over 5 million singles worldwide. After 2018 ended, DNCE went on hiatus as lead singer Joe Jonas and drummer Jack Lawless resumed work with the Jonas Brothers after their reunion in 2019. DNCE returned in February 2022.

The Jonas Brothers appeared on The Late Late Show with James Corden each night from March 4 to 7 to promote the track. It became the brothers' biggest hit single to date, reaching number one in several countries, including Australia, Canada, Latvia, Mexico, New Zealand, Singapore, Slovakia and the United States.

"Leave Before You Love Me" is a song by American record producer Marshmello and American group Jonas Brothers. It was released through Republic Records and Joytime Collective as a single on May 21, 2021. Produced by Marshmello and co-produced by Alesso, Digital Farm Animals, and Heavy Mellow, the producers wrote the song alongside Richard Boardman and Pablo Bowman of the songwriting collective the Six, Phil Plested, and William Vaughan. Christian Arnold, David Martin and Geoff Morrow of the band Butterscotch are also credited as songwriters, due to an interpolation of their song "Can't Smile Without You" in the chorus of "Leave Before You Love Me". Programming was solely handled by Marshmello and mixing and mastering was handled by Manny Marroquin. Of the Jonas Brothers' members individual contributions to the song, brothers Nick and Joe share vocals and brother Kevin plays guitar and background vocals. The song serves as the Jonas Brothers' first release of 2021.

"Dancing Feet" is a song by Norwegian record producer and DJ Kygo, featuring a guest appearance from American band DNCE. It was released on 25 February 2022 through RCA Records as the fourth single from Kygo's fourth studio album, Thrill of the Chase. The production was handled by Kygo and David Stewart and the vocals were solely handled by DNCE's lead singer, Joe Jonas, and the producers wrote the song alongside Rami Yacoub and Jess Agombar. It also serves as DNCE's comeback single since their return after a three-year-long hiatus that started after 2018 was over.
