In November of 2022 Principal Robert DiMuccio was stabbed by a student. He suffered minor injuries.

Classical's motto is Certare, Petere, Reperire, Neque Cedere, a Latin translation of the famous phrase taken from Tennyson's poem "Ulysses", "To Strive, to Seek, to Find, and Not to Yield". It has been rated "High Performing and Sustaining" by its performance in 2005 on the New Standards Reference Exam, placing third in the state. The school also made Newsweek's America's Best High Schools of 2012 with a 99% graduation rate, 95% college bound, an average SAT score of 1578, and an average AP score of 2.8. <span class="mw-page-title-main">Schneider Arena</span>

Schneider Arena was named in honor of Rev. Herman D. Schneider, O.P., the founder of Providence College hockey and a longtime teacher at the school. It is located at the far northern end of campus, on the corner of Huxley Ave. and Admiral St., and is notable for the reflective energy-conserving ceiling that was installed in 1992.

Marvin Jerome "Bad News" Barnes was an American professional basketball player. A forward, he was an All-American at Providence College, and played professionally in both the American Basketball Association (ABA) and National Basketball Association (NBA).

Ed Cooley is an American college basketball coach and currently the head coach of the Georgetown Hoyas men's basketball program. Cooley held the same position at Providence College from 2011 to 2023, and Fairfield University from 2006 to 2011. In 2022, he received national honors as the Naismith College Coach of the Year. Additionally, he received the inaugural 2010 Ben Jobe National Coach of the Year Award.

Cranston High School West is a public high school located in Cranston, Rhode Island, United States. The school comprises five buildings; one of these buildings is the Cranston Area Career and Technical Center. The school grounds include six tennis courts, a baseball field, and a track and football field. West has 155 staff members who work with the student population of approximately 1850 daily. The program of studies encompasses 203 different courses. The Cranston Area Career and Technical Center offers 17 different courses. All courses are geared toward student academic abilities. Originally signing on in January 1995 with a pop alternative format and a line up of student DJs, WWKX veterans including Kickin Al Snape, a young Robby Bridges and others as "WELH: Taking Music to New Heights". In 1996 the station moved to a modern rock format programmed by student DJs as "Extreme 88", and later jazz and oldies, eventually offering programming from various groups. From October 8, 2011 until September 30, 2021, WELH broadcast programming from Rhode Island Public Radio. Beginning in October 2021, the station has broadcast a primarily classic alternative format supplemented by radio shows from Wheeler School students on weeknights and electronic dance music during portions of the weekend.

Providence Hebrew Day School is a K-8 school and the oldest Jewish day school in Rhode Island. The school was founded in 1946, and moved to its current location on Elmgrove Avenue on Providence's East Side in 1962. The current dean of PHDS is Rabbi Menachem Weissman. The famed Rabbi Mordechai Nissel was its dean from March 97 through July 2003. It is affiliated with Orthodox Judaism, but enrolls students who are Jewish of other denominations as well. It is affiliated with New England Academy of Torah, a girls-only high school. High school students from outside of Providence have the option to board with host families during the school year.

North Providence High School is a public high school in North Providence, Rhode Island, United States that serves grades 9-12. It is part of the North Providence School District and its sports teams compete in the Rhode Island Interscholastic League. North Providence, whose school colors are blue and gold, is home to the Cougars. The high school graduated its first class in 1940. In 1992, part of the school burned down while school was still in session. Trailers were placed in the parking lot and used as classrooms while a new wing was built. The school grounds include a football and baseball field. Within the building there are three gymnasiums, a fitness and training room, and a wood shop. The school was formerly equipped with tunnel access to the town’s Natatorium Complex at the Salvatore Mancini. North Providence High employs 116 faculty and staff for the student body of approximately 1,300 students. North Providence High School holds the distinction of having the highest graduation rate in the state of Rhode Island with 98% of seniors graduating in 2016.
