The Committee for Liaison with Hong Kong,Macao,Taiwan and Overseas Chinese [1] is one of ten special committees of the National Committee the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference,China's top political advisory body and a central part of the Chinese Communist Party's united front system.
The Liaison with Hong Kong,Macao,Taiwan and Overseas Chinese Committee was created in March 1998 during the 9th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. [2]

The Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) is a political advisory body in the People's Republic of China and a central part of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)'s united front system. Its members advise and put proposals for political and social issues to government bodies. However,the CPPCC is a body without real legislative power. While consultation does take place,it is supervised and directed by the CCP.
Geng Huichang,is a Chinese intelligence officer and politician who served as the 4th Minister of State Security of the People's Republic of China and prior as president of the China Institute of Contemporary International Relations (CICIR),the 11th bureau of the Ministry of State Security (MSS). He is currently the vice chairman of the Liaison with Hong Kong,Macao,Taiwan and Overseas Chinese Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC),and a member of the Standing Committee of the National Conference of the CPPCC National Committee (NC-CPPCC).
The Hong Kong and Macau Work Office,concurrently known as the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council (HMO),is an administrative office of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party responsible for promoting cooperation and coordination of political,economic,and cultural ties between mainland China and the Chinese Special Administrative Regions of Hong Kong and Macau. It was formed in 2023 on the basis of then State Council's HKMAO. Its head office is in Xicheng District,Beijing.

Sun Huaishan is a former Chinese politician who served as the Director of Hong Kong,Macao,Taiwan and Overseas Chinese Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. He was investigated in March 2017 by the Communist Party's anti-graft agency,suspected of corruption.
Shao Hong is a Chinese male politician who is currently the vice chairperson of The National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
Zheng Jianbang is a Chinese politician,who is currently a vice chairperson of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress,and the chairperson of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang (RCCK).
