The David di Donatello Award for Best Supporting Actress (Italian : David di Donatello per la migliore attrice non protagonista) is a film award presented annually by the Accademia del Cinema Italiano (ACI, Academy of Italian Cinema) to recognize the outstanding performance in a supporting role of an actress who has worked within the Italian film industry during the year preceding the ceremony. It has been awarded every year since 1981. [1] [2]

Valeria Golino is an Italian actress and film director. She is best known to English-language audiences for her roles in Rain Man, Big Top Pee-wee, and both films in the Hot Shots! franchise. In addition to David di Donatello, Nastro d'Argento, Ciak d'oro and Globo d'oro awards, she is one of four actresses to have twice won the Best Actress award at the Venice Film Festival.

Giulia Doesn't Date at Night is a 2009 Italian drama film directed by Giuseppe Piccioni and starring Valerio Mastandrea as Guido and Valeria Golino as the title character, Giulia. It was shot in Rome during the summer of 2008 under its working title "Il premio". The film won the Nastro d'Argento for best original song.
