The Scotland national rugby union team represents Scotland in men's international rugby union and is administered by the Scottish Rugby Union. The team takes part in the annual Six Nations Championship and participates in the Rugby World Cup, which takes place every four years. As of 8 November 2021, Scotland are 7th in the World Rugby Rankings.

Historically the Glasgow District team played matches against touring teams visiting Scotland from abroad, and also competed in the Scottish Inter-District Championship.
Andrew Garry is a former Scottish rugby union player. He played for the amateur Glasgow District side and after professionalism played for Glasgow Rugby, now named the Glasgow Warriors. He played at Fly-half but also played at Centre and Full Back. He is currently a Physical Education teacher at Dunfermline High School, having worked there since 1993 following a one year post as a PE teacher at George Watson’s College, Edinburgh.
