Elisabeth Aspaker (born 16 October 1962) is a Norwegian politician for the Conservative Party and she is the current county governor of Troms og Finnmark county. She was also the Minister of European Affairs from 2015 to 2016 and Minister for Nordic Cooperation from 2013 to 2016. From 2013 to 2015,she also served as Minister of Fisheries. [1]
She was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from Troms in 2005. She previously served as a deputy representative to the Norwegian Parliament during the terms 1989–1993 and 1997–2001.
From 1986 to 1990 she was the deputy leader of the Norwegian Young Conservatives. During the cabinet Syse,she was private secretary (today known as political advisor) in the Ministry of Justice and the Police. During the second cabinet Bondevik,she was appointed political advisor in the Ministry of Education and Research before being promoted to State Secretary in the Ministry of Health and Care Services in 2004.
On the local level she was a member of Harstad municipal council from 1991 to 1995,and of its executive committee from 1999 to 2001. From 1991 to 1999 she was a member of Troms county council,serving as deputy county mayor beginning in 1995.
Before entering politics,she worked as a teacher. Aspaker was educated at Tromsølærerhøgskole and Harstad University College,both of which today is a part of the University of Tromsø.

Sandra Konstance Nygård Borch is a Norwegian former politician who served as the minister of research and higher education from 2023 to 2024 until her resignation over the extensive plagiarism of her master's thesis. As minister she had launched a crackdown on students' reuse of their own texts,so-called "self-plagiarism," leading to criticism from many academics who argued that reuse of one's own work is not plagiarism or research misconduct. She previously served as minister of agriculture and food from 2021 to 2023. A member of the Centre Party,she served as the leader of the Centre Youth from 2011 to 2013,while simultaneously serving as a deputy MP from her home constituency of Troms from 2009 to 2013. She was elected a permanent representative in 2017. In January 2024 it was revealed that significant parts of her master's thesis had been plagiarised. She announced her resignation in the evening of 19 January 2024. She risks losing her degree.

Troms og Finnmark was a county in northern Norway that was established on 1 January 2020 as the result of a regional reform. It was the largest county by area in Norway,encompassing about 75,000 square kilometres (29,000 sq mi),and was formed by the merger of the former Finnmark and Troms counties in addition to Tjeldsund Municipality from Nordland county.
