The history of Freeways in Iran goes back to 55 years ago.[ when? ] The first freeway in Iran, Freeway 2 was built before the Iranian Revolution, between Tehran and Karaj. The construction of Tehran-Qom Freeway was started and the studies of many freeways today started before the revolution. Today, Iran has about 2,400 kilometres (1,500 mi) of freeway. The total AADT of the system is 144 Million vehicles. [1]

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Freeway 7 (Iran)</span> Road in Iran

Freeway 7 is a freeway in central Iran. It starts from Jahad Square at the south end of Kazemi Expressway and Azadegan Expressway in Tehran. It then passes Behesht-e Zahra, Imam Khomeini Int'l, Qom, Kashan, Natanz, Shahinshahr, Najafabad and currently ends at the northeast of Zarrinshahr in a junction with Road 51 and Zobahan Freeway. However, there has been construction after the junction and so far, 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) has been completed. In recent years, construction has been made in order to connect this freeway to Shiraz under the name Esfahan-Shiraz Freeway, which starts from Izadkhast and currently ends at the northwest of Shiraz in a junction with Road 67, and it is planned to end in Hosseini Al-Hashemi Expressway. It was opened in Mehr 1402. The Freeway from Isfahan to Izadkhast is currently planned, but yet to start construction. There are also plans to connect the freeway to Bushehr.

Freeway 2 in Iran consists of two separate sections, one in northwestern Iran and one in northeastern Iran.

Road 56 is a road in central Iran. It connects the central city of Qom in Qom province to western city of Borujerd in Lorestan province. It starts from the northern Ring road of Qom then connects Qom - and via other roads Tehran and Esfahan - to the industrial city of Arak. After Arak it continues towards west and it ends in Borujerd there run into by Road 37 & Road 52.

Naft Tehran Football Club is an Iranian football club based in Tehran, Iran. They competed in the Persian Gulf Pro League. They were owned by the National Iranian Oil Company previously. Naft Tehran was founded in 1950 and played in the Takhti Stadium until 2018.

Freeway 3, or more commonly known as Tehran-Shomal Freeway or Tehran-Chalus Freeway will be a freeway in Northern Iran, connecting Tehran to cities of western Mazandaran. Currently, sections 1, 2 & 4 are in service and section 3 is under construction. The freeway runs parallel to Road 59, the old road connecting Karaj to Chalus.

The Tehran American School (TAS) was an American international school in Tehran, Iran. It was founded in 1954, and it held its final classes in 1978. Tabriz–Urmia Freeway is a partially built freeway project in Northwestern Iran, East Azerbaijan and West Azerbaijan provinces, connecting the two cities of Tabriz and Urmia. It serves as a major link, with the bridge over Urmia Lake, connecting Urmia to the rest of the country via Tabriz and Freeway 2. The project consists of several segments.

The Iranian Women's Volleyball Premier League is the highest level of professional women's volleyball league in Iran. The highest level of weome's club league in Iran was founded in 1975 as the Shahbanu Cup which was continued until 1979, but after the Iranian Revolution it was renamed to the First Division. In 2001 the league system was revamped and the Iranian Women's Volleyball Premier League was established. Zob Ahan Isfahan has won the most titles in the new Premier League with 6 titles.
