Douglas County is a county in the northwestern part of the U.S. state of Nevada. As of the 2020 census, the population was 49,488. Its county seat is Minden. Douglas County comprises the Gardnerville Ranchos, NV Micropolitan Statistical Area, which is also included in the Reno–Carson City–Fernley, NV Combined Statistical Area.
The Southside School is a historic school in Brickell in Downtown Miami, Florida. It is located at 45 Southwest 13th Street. On January 4, 1989, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

The original Columbian Elementary School is a former public elementary school located at 3819 Jones Street in Omaha, Nebraska. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as Columbian School in 1990. It was declared an Omaha Landmark in 1990.

On January 10, 2008, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. It is a part of the Hamilton County School District.
The Dearborn School is an historic school building at 25 Ambrose Street in the Roxbury neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. The three-story brick Beaux Arts school was designed by Roxbury native Edwin James Lewis Jr., and built in 1905. It is the only building to survive a c. 1950 urban redevelopment of the area. It was named in honor of Boston mayor Henry A. S. Dearborn. It served as an elementary or middle school until the 1980s, and has since been converted into housing.

Minden Elementary School, also known as Minden Grammar School, is a historic school building located at 1638 Mono Avenue in Minden, Nevada. The Renaissance Revival school was built in 1918 at a cost of $14,291. The school replaced the county's first school, a 1908 building known as the "little green schoolhouse". The school operated until it closed in 1980 and now serves as an office building for the Douglas County School District.
The Gardnerville Branch Jail is a historic jail located at 1440 Courthouse St. in Gardnerville, Nevada. The jail was built in 1910 and served as Douglas County's only jail from 1910 to 1915. Prior to 1910, the only county jail was in Genoa, the county seat; however, since Gardnerville was several miles from Genoa, it resorted to housing prisoners in the local judge's granary. As the granary was considered unfit for holding prisoners, the community petitioned the county to construct a new jail. However, local leaders in Minden, who wanted to move the county seat to their town, protested the move, as they suspected that Gardnerville was attempting to claim the county seat itself. Nonetheless, the county approved the construction of the new jail. The jail housed its first prisoners before construction even finished, as the Genoa jail burned down; one prisoner was briefly chained to a post until the new jail could accommodate him. Once completed, the jail served the county until 1915, when Minden became the county seat and opened its own county jail.
Mount Rose K-8 School of Languages, formerly Mount Rose Elementary School, is a public K-8 school at 915 Lander St. in Reno, Nevada, operated by the Washoe County School District. It occupies a historic Mission/Spanish Revival-style facility that was built in 1912 and extended in 1938. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977 under the name Mount Rose Elementary.
The Veterans Memorial Elementary School, also known as Veterans Memorial STEM Academy, at 1200 Locust St., is a public elementary school in Reno, Nevada, operated by the Washoe County School District. It occupies a historic Moderne-style building dating from 1949 that was designed by Nevada architect Russell Mills. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995. It was deemed significant "for its role in the local history of education" and "for its Art Deco/Moderne style of architecture by a prominent local architect, Russell Mills."
The Arendt Jensen Jr. House, at 1243 A and 1243 B Eddie St. in Gardnerville, Nevada, is a historic Bungalow/Craftsman-style house that was built in 1932. Also known as the Langlands House, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994; the listing included two contributing buildings.
The Arendt Jensen House, at 1431 Ezell St. in Gardnerville, Nevada, is a historic foursquare house—in this case termed a "Denver Square" form—that was built in 1910. It was a home of Danish immigrant Arendt Jensen, a merchant who became prominent in Gardnersville. Also known as the Reid Mansion, it includes Colonial Revival-style ornamentation. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989; the listing included two contributing buildings: the second is an accompanying garage.
The Theodore Lyman School is a historic former school building at 30 Gove Street in the East Boston neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. It is a three-story red brick building, designed by Gridley James Fox Bryant. It was built in 1869, and rebuilt after a fire severely damaged it just two years later. The school was named for Boston's fifth mayor, Theodore Lyman (1792-1849), and was a major element of East Boston's development in the mid-19th century. The school served as a public elementary school in the 1970s until damaged by fire and close in 1980. The building was converted into elderly housing in 1984.
Leeds Junior High School was a historic building located in Sioux City, Iowa, United States. High school education in the city dates from 1867, and the first dedicated high school building was completed in 1893. Other schools were built as the district and the city continued to grow. Leeds Junior-Senior High School was built to educate students on the far northeast corner of the city. It was financed by a combination of a local bond referendum and funds from the Public Works Administration. The two story brick building was completed in 1939 in the Art Deco style. Eventually newer high schools and junior high schools were built on the north side of Sioux City, and the building became an elementary school. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002. The building was torn down in 2008 when it was replaced by a new school building.
The Wilhelm and William Lampe Ranch in Gardnerville, Nevada was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2018.
