Golden West College (GWC) is a public community college in Huntington Beach, California.
GWC is a public community college located in Huntington Beach, California. Together with Orange Coast College, and Coastline Community College, the three colleges make up the Coast Community College District (CCCD). The district is a regional organization providing administrative services and funding for post-secondary education. As a California Community College all that is required to attend GWC is a high school diploma or a GED.
The mission of GWC is to provide affordable education, providing an Associate of Art and Associate of Science degrees, as well as lower-division classes transferable to other colleges and universities, and degrees in licensed trades and skilled professions, including degress in nursing, automotive technology, and cosmotology. Through the financial assistance provided by the California College Promise Grant, a large percentage of students at GWC are able to attend college and pay little to no tuition or fees.
The majority of transfer students who attend GWC later attend a California State University, or the University of California, as well as many other universities. GWC is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges, and it also has specialized accreditation by the Accrediting Commission for Education in Nursing, for their nursing program.
GWC possesses many student clubs, and a vibrant campus life. Many departments have clubs for their majors, such as the Psychology Club and the History Club. The CARE Club is for single mothers dedicated to their children and their education. The California Nursing Student Association (CNSA) is to increase professional awareness and the growth of nursing students. The Peace & Leadership Club is for students interested in creating a culture of peace. There are also several Honor Societies, such as the Alpha Gamma Sigma Honor Society, and the Psi Beta Honor Society for psychology majors.
Golden West is widely known for its success in athletics throughout the state of California. They have won many California State Community College Championships. California State Community College Championships
Golden West's softball team has appeared in one Women's College World Series in 1974 at the college level (losing to Kansas and Weber State). [3] Golden West also won the AIAW junior/community college national championship in 1975, 1976 and 1977. The 1975 title came in a perfect game, 22–0 victory over Northeastern Colorado, shortened to 5 innings by the mercy rule.
Northwestern College is a private Christian college in Orange City, Iowa, that is Reformed, evangelical and ecumenical. Established in 1882, it offers more than 135 academic programs and enrolls over 1,700 students in undergraduate, graduate and online programs.
Orange Coast College (OCC) is a public community college in Costa Mesa in Orange County, California. It was founded in 1947, with its first classes opening in the fall of 1948. Rockland Community College (RCC) is a public community college in the town of Ramapo, New York in Rockland County. It is part of the State University of New York. The college, established in 1959, became the 18th community college to join the SUNY system. The college offers 51 programs and offers associate degrees and certificates. Additionally, students can earn other degrees, including Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, and Master of Arts in the arts and sciences, Doctoral Program in Executive Leadership (EdD), technology, and health professions while attending classes at Rockland through articulation programs with four-year schools. Ottawa University (OU) is a private Baptist university with its main campus in Ottawa, Kansas. It also has a second residential campus in Surprise, Arizona, and adult campuses in the Kansas City, Phoenix and Milwaukee metropolitan areas. It was founded in 1865 and is affiliated with the Ottawa Tribe of Oklahoma and the American Baptist Churches USA. The residential campus in Ottawa has a student enrollment of more than 850 students, while the OUAZ campus in Surprise boasts more than 900. In total, Ottawa University serves more than 4,000 students across all of its campuses and online.
Fresno Pacific University (FPU) is a private Christian university in Fresno, California. It was founded as the Pacific Bible Institute in 1944 by the Pacific District Conference of U.S. Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches. The university awarded its first Bachelor of Arts degree in 1965. The first master's degree program was introduced in 1975.

For football, they are in the Football Bowl Subdivision of Division I. UCLA is second to only Stanford University as the school with the most NCAA team championships at 122 NCAA team championships. UCLA offers 11 varsity sports programs for men and 14 for women.
College of the Siskiyous (COS) is a public community college with campuses in Weed and Yreka in Siskiyou County in Northern California. The California Golden Bears are the athletic teams that represent the University of California, Berkeley. Referred to in athletic competition as California or Cal, the university fields 30 varsity athletic programs and various club teams in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA)'s Division I primarily as a member of the Pac-12 Conference, and for a limited number of sports as a member of the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF). Over the course of the school's history, California has won team national titles in 13 men's and 3 women's sports and 115 team titles overall. Cal athletes have also competed in the Olympics for a host of different countries. Notable facilities used by the Bears include California Memorial Stadium (football) and Haas Pavilion. Cal finished the 2010–11 athletic season with 1,219.50 points, earning third place in the Director's Cup standings, the Golden Bears' highest finish ever. Cal did not receive any points for its national championships in rugby and men's crew because those sports are not governed by the NCAA. Cal finished 12th in the 2014-15 standings.
Cochise College is a public college in Arizona. Founded on September 21, 1964, the school has campuses in Douglas and Sierra Vista, and centers in Benson, Fort Huachuca, and Willcox. Cochise College offers associate degrees in art, applied science, business, elementary education, general studies, and science, and over 30 different certificate programs. The college also offers transfer programs for students to transfer to partner universities.
Foothill High School is a public secondary school located in the unincorporated community of North Tustin, California. It has a mailing address of Santa Ana, but it is a part of the Tustin Unified School District.
Located in Rancho San Diego, Valhalla High School is a public high school operated by the Grossmont Union High School District with an enrollment of 2,112 students. The school is characterized by its school colors, orange and white, going by the nickname Orange Nation. During its existence, the school has won the California Distinguished School Award in both 2001 and 2003, and is also accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. The school is currently directed by principal Joshua Johnson and three assistant principals. Several programs are available to students, including ASB, marching, jazz, and orchestra bands, drama, color guard, cheer, dance, and athletics such as football and baseball, among other programs.
