Built in 1900. Closed in 1941. Since 1999, it was partially used by the Po Yin Fat Yuen, a monastery founded in 1956, after the original monastery building was torn down with the clearance of the nearby squatter area in 1996. Its function as a monastery ceased in 2015. [1]

It has been proposed to be converted into a restaurant with exhibition space to reminisce the history of the oyster farming industry of Lau Fau Shan. [5] A Grade III Historic Building.

Built in 1950 and demolished in 2004. After being decommissioned as a police station, it housed the Regional Continuation Training Centre. [6] It is now the site of The Great Hill private housing estate. [7]

It originates from the south at Austin Road, and terminates in the north at Lai Chi Kok Road. Parallel to Shanghai Street are Nathan Road, Temple Street, Portland Street, Reclamation Street and Canton Road. Though parallel, Shanghai Street was marked by 2- to 3-floor Chinese-style buildings while Nathan Road was marked by Western-style buildings.

Whitfield Barracks were barracks in Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong. It was named after Henry Wase Whitfield, who was appointed commander of the British Army in Hong Kong in 1869. The area is now the site of Kowloon Park, where four reconverted barrack blocks and parts of the former Kowloon West II Battery remain.

Wellington Barracks was a military barracks located to the east of Garden Road in Admiralty, Hong Kong. One of many military complexes constructed by the British Army in the area, the land was returned to the Hong Kong government in the 1970s and gradually reverted to civilian use. As a result, the barracks was closed at the end of that decade, demolished in the mid-1980s and replaced with Harcourt Garden.

Public factory estates are blocks of factory buildings owned by the Government of Hong Kong. Built between the late 1950s and the early 1980s, most of these industrial buildings have been demolished during the 1990s and 2000s, while some have been converted and a few are still active. While these buildings are notable as witnesses of the history of manufacturing in Hong Kong and of the public housing policy of the Government of Hong Kong, they represent only a fraction of the industrial buildings of the territory: there were about 1,700 industrial buildings in Hong Kong in 2003.
