Achaphubuil is a small settlement to the north of Ardgour in Lochaber, in the Highlands of Scotland. Achaphubuil lies to the south of The Narrows, which link Loch Linnhe to Loch Eil. The village of Corpach is on the opposite shore, with Fort William across Loch Linnhe to the north-east.

Consisting of a few farmhouses and barns, Achentoul lies around 1.5 miles (2.4 km) north of Kinbrace along the A897 road and south of Loch An Ruathair. Although the Achentoul Forest is located in this area, the landscape is said to be dominated by moist Atlantic heather moor.
Ach' An Todhair is a small hamlet on the shore of Loch Linnhe in the Highland council area, Scotland. It is located along the A82 road directly south of Fort William. A bus serves the hamlet, connecting it to Fort William in the north and Corran and Inchree to the south. A number of graves of Clan Campbell are said to be located in this area of the lochside. It is mentioned in a poem in Hugh MacDiarmid's poetry collection The golden treasury of Scottish poetry which goes, "the sloucher of them was lying in Ach' an Todhair. Whoso climbed Tom na-h-aire ? Many were the new paws there badly salted, the death-cloud on their eyes, lifeless after being scourged with sword-blades".

Bualintur is a remote township, which lies at the head of Loch Brittle on the island of Skye in the Highlands of Scotland and is in the Scottish council area of Highland. Accessed only by the Glen Brittle bridge (footbridge) that appears in the Royal Commission on Ancient and Historical Monuments in Scotland Bualintur affords some of the best views of the Cuillin hills, and is the point of access for several of Skye' s most dramatic coastal and forest walks. In recent history it was the central township of Glen Brittle, with the post office and school for the community. It was once a thriving community before the effects of the highland clearances and depopulation of the highlands and islands took place, and many ruined houses can be seen among the existing houses.
