Isle of Man Classic

From 2014 a new tournament was created which would coincide with the Isle of Man Open, this was called the Isle of Man Classic. The weekend in which both tournaments occurred was then known as "The Isle of Man Darts Festival".

Edward Hankey is an English former professional darts player. Nicknamed "The Count", he won the BDO World Darts Championship in 2000, was runner-up in 2001, and won the title for a second time in 2009.

Kevin Painter is an English retired darts player, known as "The Artist". Martin Adams is an English professional darts player who plays in World Darts Federation (WDF) events. Nicknamed "Wolfie", he is a three-time BDO World Champion and three-time World Masters champion. He represents Cambridgeshire at county darts level and was the captain of England from 1993 to 2013, the longest any player has held that role. From his debut in 1994, Adams made a record 25 consecutive World Championship appearances, before failing to qualify for the first time in 2019. Adams was diagnosed with prostate cancer in April 2016, but by the end of the year he was given the all-clear. As well as playing, he also acts as a regular pundit and commentator for televised coverage of BDO events.

The Darts World Rankings are systems designed to determine a list of the best darts players in the world based on their performances in past tournaments.

The 1998 Embassy World Professional Darts Championship was held from 3–11 January 1998 at the Lakeside Country Club in Frimley Green, Surrey.

The 1998 World Matchplay was a darts tournament held in the Empress Ballroom at the Winter Gardens, Blackpool. The tournament ran from 27 July–1 August 1998, and was won by Rod Harrington.

Ronnie Baxter is an English former professional darts player who competed in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. He used the nickname "The Rocket" for his matches. Baxter was known for his fast robotic throwing action. He currently resides in his hometown Blackpool. Baxter is widely regarded as one of the best players never to have won a major TV title. He is still active on the exhibition circuit.

The Scottish Open is a darts tournament organised by the Scottish Darts Association and has been staged every year in February in 1983 and since 1995. The current venue is the Normandy Cosmopolitan Hotel in Renfrew. In 2014 Robbie Green became the first player to win the tournament on more than one occasion, with the previous 20 tournaments won by 20 different players, Wesley Harms has since achieved this feat. In the Ladies Deta Hedman has won the event 7 times including 2023.

The French Open is a darts tournament of British Darts Organisation category B and World Darts Federation category 2. It has been held annually since 1977.

The Las Vegas Open is a darts tournament organised by the American Darts Organization that started in 1978.

The Quebec Open is a Canadian darts tournament that has been held since 2006 the event comprises both men's singles and doubles and women's singles and doubles competition.

The Malta Open is an annual darts tournament on the WDF circuit that began in 1986.
