The PDC World Darts Championship, known for sponsorship purposes as the Paddy Power World Darts Championship, organised by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC), is a World Professional Darts Championship held annually in the sport of darts. The PDC championship begins in December and ends in January and is held at Alexandra Palace in London and has been held there since 2008. It is the most prestigious of the PDC's tournaments, with the winner receiving the Sid Waddell Trophy, named in honour of the darts commentator Sid Waddell, who died in 2012. Along with the Premier League Darts and World Matchplay, it is considered part of the Triple Crown.

Mark "Flash" Dudbridge is an English professional darts player. He appeared in the 2005 Premier League Darts after reaching the final of the 2005 PDC World Darts Championship. He also is a former World Master and has reached the final of the World Matchplay.

Andrew Smith is an English former professional darts player. He used the nickname The Pie Man for his matches. His best performances came in the "floor" events, where he won six PDC Pro Tour titles.

Martin Phillips is a Welsh former professional darts player who competed in the British Darts Organisation (BDO). He won the 2014 World Masters championship.

The Wales Masters was an annual Welsh darts tournament that inaugurated in 2007 until 2019.

The Unipart British Professional Championship was a darts tournament organised by the British Darts Organisation and televised by the BBC between 1981 and 1988. After the 1988 championships, the BBC withdrew their coverage of the event and it left UK terrestrial television with only one televised tournament – the World Championships. The game was at an all-time low and players eventually went on to set up the World Darts Council in an attempt to bring back sponsors and television.

The Virginia Beach Dart Classic is a Steel-Tip darts tournament established in 1970. The event is a BDO category C ranked tournament the youth tournament is a ranked event of the WDF.

Kevin Thomas is a professional Welsh darts player who competes in Professional Darts Corporation events. He uses the nickname The Undertaker for his matches due to him being of fan of WWE's Undertaker.

The Auckland Open is an annual darts tournament on the WDF circuit that began in 2006.

The Dry Blackthorn Cider Masters was a darts tournament organised by the British Darts Organisation that started in 1983 and ended in 1989.

The Butlins Grand Masters was a former Major darts tournament organised by the British Darts Organisation and televised by ATV/Central between 1977 and 1986. The event was sponsored by the holiday and leisure company Butlins.

The 2017 partypoker US Darts Masters was the inaugural staging of the tournament by the Professional Darts Corporation, as a third entry in the 2017 World Series of Darts. The tournament featured eight North American players who faced eight PDC players, which was held at the Tropicana Las Vegas in Las Vegas, United States from 14–15 July 2017.

The 2017 BDO World Trophy was a major darts tournament run by the British Darts Organisation. It was hosted between 26–29 May 2017 at Memo Arts Centre, Barry, Wales. The event was broadcast on FrontRunner.
