Quiet Riot is an American heavy metal band founded in Los Angeles in 1973 by guitarist Randy Rhoads and bassist Kelly Garni.

Frankie Banali was an American rock drummer, most widely known for his work with heavy metal band Quiet Riot. His signature tone and iconic drum intros first became famous on their album Metal Health, which was the first metal album to hit number one on the Billboard charts and ushered in the 80's metal band era. He had been the band's manager since 1993. He played drums in the heavy metal band W.A.S.P., as well as with Billy Idol. Banali was briefly a touring drummer for Faster Pussycat and Steppenwolf. In the last few months of his life, he was also an abstract painter.
Tracy Irving Richard Ulrich, known professionally as Tracii Guns, is an American guitarist best known as the co-founder of glam metal group L.A. Guns, as well as the supergroups Brides of Destruction and Contraband. He was also a founding member of Guns N' Roses, but left shortly afterwards and was replaced by guitarist Slash.

Rodolfo Maximiliano Sarzo Lavieille Grande Ruiz Payret y Chaumont is a Cuban American hard rock/heavy metal bassist. He remains best known for his work with Quiet Riot, Ozzy Osbourne, and Whitesnake, and has also played with several well known heavy metal and hard rock acts including Manic Eden, Dio, Blue Öyster Cult, Geoff Tate's Queensrÿche, Devil City Angels, and the Guess Who. He re-joined Quiet Riot in 2021. Though not a founding member, he is the longest-serving member currently in the band.

Released by RCA Records, Daughtry's self-titled debut album became the fastest selling debut rock album in Nielsen SoundScan history, selling more than one million copies within five weeks of release, and music's top-selling album of 2007. The album was recorded before the band was officially formed, making him the only official member present on the album.

Franky Perez is an American musician best known as a solo artist, touring vocalist of the Finnish metal band Apocalyptica, and as former guitarist for Scars on Broadway. He has also released three solo albums, Poor Man's Son, My 4th of July, and Addict, and performed with guitarist Slash in his live band before Slash assembled the touring band that backed him during his first full solo tour with Myles Kennedy. Perez has also collaborated with Slash's Velvet Revolver bandmate Dave Kushner, releasing songs under the pseudonym of DKFXP, as well as the virtual band Pusher Jones, contributing the song "Count Me Out" to The Avengers soundtrack.

After American Idol, Johnson released his debut solo album, Testify, through Interscope Records. After leaving his label, he formed another group, Caleb Johnson and the Ramblin' Saints, and in 2019, the group self-released its first album, Born from Southern Ground.
Road Rage is the thirteenth studio album from the Rock band Quiet Riot. This is the first album to feature American Idol alum James Durbin on lead vocals. The album was originally recorded with vocalist Seann Nicols, a former member of Adler's Appetite and Icon, and scheduled for release on April 21, 2017. Pre-orders for the album began on March 1, 2017, and the instant gratification track was titled "The Seeker". However, Nicols was fired from the band in March, and it was subsequently announced that the album would be postponed so that Nicols' vocals and lyrics could be replaced and re-recorded by Durbin. The track "The Seeker" was withdrawn from distribution at this point, and never saw release on the final version of Road Rage in any form. The album finally saw release on August 4, 2017. Billboard Magazine debuted the music video for the single "Can't Get Enough" directed by Regina Russell Banali on July 24, 2017
Hollywood Cowboys is the fourteenth studio album by the Rock band Quiet Riot. The album was released on Frontiers Records on November 8, 2019, and was produced by drummer Frankie Banali. This is the last album to feature Banali before his death in 2020 from pancreatic cancer, and also their last to feature vocalist James Durbin and bassist Chuck Wright before their departures in 2019 and 2021 respectively.
